Never saw this system before. Looks so much easier than the others!

It is a really slick system when wood posts are just not an option. I personally have been using this system with my polytape fence and am very pleased with it.

How much tension can this system withstand?

Can these be used with greater than 90 degree corner angle?

Yes, the LockJaws allow for angles greater than (or less than) 90 degrees!

Just saw this after your earlier video on the Wedge Loc system. Which one do you prefer?

Good Question! I personally have both systems on my farm and see pros and cons with both. If you have any corners/turns that are anything other than 90 degrees, you will want to go with the Lock Jawz. The Wedge Loc are very secure once you get them in place, and your post spacing is perfect. The Lock Jaws are adjustable. Another advantage to the Lock Jawz is I dont have to worry about my hot wires touching the brace because they are insulated and will not ground my system. - Ashley

Is this a suitable alternative to a wood h brace corner for multi strand hi tensile?
@KencoveFarmFence Жыл бұрын
Hello! Wood post H braces would still be the safer bet with four or more strands. The LockJawz bracing would be able to handle up to three strands with little issue, provided the posts are driven deep enough and a diagonal post brace of adequate length is used.

The problem I have with this is that the sun makes plastics brittle. Will these plastic parts last for years & years? !

This is a great question. The LockJawz is made with a ten year automotive grade engineered co-poly with a UV inhibitor. The Corner Braces, HD-360 Insulators, and extended insulators are expected to have a minimum of a 10 year before you begin to see degrading of that product. The manufacture states that the regular T-360 insulators, it will be 5-10 years before you start to see any degrading of the product.

do these work with u posts?

Hi James, Unfortunately these are only for use with studded T-posts!

How much tension can I expect this system to hold? 4 stands 12.5 gauge aluminum wire. It will be my semi permanent fencing for the next 2-3 years till I’m able to get the driver I want for my tractor.

Often times, folks using T-posts may opt for 14ga high tensile fence for less strain on bracing with multiple strands. Both Wedge-Loc and LockJawz should handle 4 strands of 14ga without problem. With 12.5ga high tensile wire, you would need to make sure you have depth and adequate lengths of brace posts if using T-posts. Proper T-post bracing should be able to easily handle 3 strands of 12.5ga high tensile. Adding a 4th, 5th, or 6th strand of 12.5ga high tensile wire would require bracing that was equal to a single H brace with wood posts.

Plastic will never last with all the weather. Wedge Loc is a better product!
@ezcaps8094 Жыл бұрын
Agreed. Even UV resistant plastic doesn't last more than a few years here. Corner braces need to last decades.
