I lost my best friend to leukemia in the 80s, he had it since he was six and passed away when he was 17. There has been so much advances in treatments now that he didn’t have back then, I am a cancer survivor for eight years now, cancer sucks, I hate it. Your little girl is a rockstar and she is strong and she has all these medicines now that are very advanced. Praying for a miracle for Kendall and so many other children enduring life threatening battles. I endured two years of hematology/oncology with my oldest son. Thank you for explaining everything to us. (Not that I understood it all. It’s so complicated.) But I get why it hurts so much, those pesky nerve cells being attacked. It sounds horrible, but you are amazing in your support. You say you feel useless - but you so are not useless! Thank you so much for sharing so much with us. You are helping us comprehend the intricacies of this treatment. I had no idea about the difficulties and balances and how hard to get the right mixes of the drugs, and what can go wrong. Praying for you. You got this. I’m in Charleston all the time I have a lot of long term side effects from chemotherapy in 2012. My did found out he has a rare blood cancer and now he has to go to Charleston a lot too. I think my dad doesn’t want to take his chemo pill because of how bad chemotherapy affected me. I’m praying he will start taking it. I live in Bluffton. I would love to meet you and your family one day. I still have my power port. I use it for surgery’s, scans, ERs/ hospital stays and IRON infusion’s. There’s a good crape place close to the hospital it’s delicious. Do you have a comfy cozy for Chemo shirt? I have 2 of them and they are amazing. If you don’t have one I will try to figure out how to get you one.

I’ve had a Groshong since 1999. When I first got my line I was petrified to shower, swim and aquatic therapy. I shower with just my normal dressing and change after. For aquatic therapy I just curled my line up and place another tegaderm on it. After therapy I change right away. For swimming in the Bahamas I use a product created by a dr called cath dry. Feel free to ask any questions
