My second cancer (age 22), was wiped out with heavy chemo, wiped out the entire immune system, and then did the transplant. All in sterile, overpressured rooms. Got the last rites one week later, walked out the sterile room two weeks later.

I have a rare stomach disorder since I was a kid.. I would just throw up for days and nights for no reason.. I’ve had MANY diagnoses.. then my children’s GI dr told me I had Cyclic vomiting syndrome.. my dad was like wow did they just make that up.. like we’re they just tired of me coming in the hospital without a diagnosis?! Now 3-4 years pass and I’m still so sick.. Thankfully now I was almost 17 when I was able to go to the big hospital OU med here in Oklahoma where I found the BEST GI dr in Oklahoma!! I went threw everything all over again and after many years and many more diagnoses my dr put me in the hospital for over 6 months straight he finally found a med regimen that keeps me out of the hospital and back to a kinda normal life.. I still get sick but it’s not everyday like it was.. I’m 39 now.. please don’t ever think you don’t need to seek a second opinion.. come to find out I do have Cyclic Vomiting syndrome and my children GI dr was right.. but I’m still so glad I got to find my dr he is now retired and I see another GI dr that don’t really know anything about me which is fine cause now I know what I need!! Kendall your a total rockstar.. your courage is seriously unbelievable.. when we are kids we know nothing but to fight.. having a rare disorder is hard but one thing that is good is someone else may get this and then treating you will help them treat others is how I look at it.. 🙏🏼🤍🩷💜

MSK saved our friend with stage 4 mesothelioma cancer. He was only in his 20s when diagnosed. He had several surgeries and treatments. He has been in remission for more than 5 yrs. He is now the father of twin baby girls. He has a big job in NYC where he lives with his wife & kids. It has truly been a miracle. MSK really thinks out of the box and has great success stories with rare cancers. I wish Kendall all the best. She is a beautiful young lady. Prayers she will be in remission too one day soon 🙏🏻

Good morning, Beav. After listening to the very end, I totally agree with you and Brandy postponing stim cell transpant until other treatment options have been utilized. Given the recent changes in staging from 2 to 4, with ongoing active disease. With all cancers there should never be a for the lack of a better term, 'a cookie cutter modle' to be followed. As treatment plans and excicution of treatments desever to be as unique as the patient in need of care. My prayers will continue, that it be God's will to see Kendall healed. My prayers will continue for you and Brandy to find true peace in whatever treatment options you choose to move forward with for your precious daughter. I will also pray for Kendall's doctors. Highly respect both you and wife decision to hold off for now on the stem cell transplant, especially with the after effects, it is amazing how two hospitals who specialize in the disease have two different opinions, You came up against the stem cell for now, which I applaud you, and continue with other treatments. She’s a very fortunate little girl to have such intelligent parents who are able to wade through the world of a cancer as complicated as neuroblastoma. If she were my daughter I wouldn’t do the stem cell transplant either right now. I pray for better, easier, safer treatments to be discovered asap. Our precious children deserve it. I was sad to hear that you received some hater comments. It’s clear to me that Kendall isn’t bothered in the least by being filmed. And as for Brandy being at home people need to remember that there is essentially a baby and an almost teenager who need mom with them. Tag teaming is by far the best option. I am so happy to see Kendall looking so much better. They say that a Good dr. will not stop you from getting a second opinion. I think you did the right thing by contacting MSK. They are one of the tops in Cancer treatment. I think you know your daughter the best-I would be hesitant too with the active lesions in the liver. She has been through so much. I think you will make the right decision no matter what-She is the sweetest!! I can’t believe what she has gone through and still able to smile. Love you guys. Thanks for putting kendall's story out there. I have learned a lot from watching the videos. My friend asked me "what are you learning from this." I told her this little girl with the most beautiful smile and attitude teaches me what do I have to complain about and get all out of sorts when Kendall is a trooper. She is a kid with a major issue but she handles it with grace. It makes me want to do better and take things in my life with grace instead of a place that gets me down. I've seen some children with extremely negative prognosis come out the other side of treatment NED when treated at MSK. That makes me have a lot of confidence in their protocols. They also have a lot of clinical trials on the table that they can recommend. You as parents just have to decide which is best. It sounds like you have a good communication with MSK and have decided upon a good plan. I'm very happy to see that you don't just give in and do what the doctors think is the way. You are in a position to weigh out all the options, get good advice and ask her doctors to move forward in the direction you determine is best. Continue to trust your instinct as parents.

You have a beautiful family. I wish Kendall all the best. I pray that the Lymph node situation improves. If MSK is saying she doesn’t need the Transplant. Go to MSK and let them do their own testing. If they feel she is a good candidate for surgery, which she most likely will be. MSK will do the surgery asap and remove the cancer as early as possible. Then they will most likely follow it up with chemo or radiation. I feel that being directly at MSK and letting them conduct their own testing will bring results sooner. 🙏. It will definitely make the ball move faster being there. Instead of playing the waiting game. Like you said this cancer can become aggressive and if that happens her options are less. Give her every chance she has go to MSK. They are an excellent and reputable cancer hospital with the latest and most advanced aggressive treatments.

I have only seen survivors when they use the transplant. I am so happy you have a second opinion. Looks like you have a plan just always and mean always have a backup plan. We went to 5 different hospitals and kept our son alive for 7 years. Cancer sucks please tell me why we don’t have a cure. (My son had a different cancer).

Hi, has anyone mentioned to you about Rosewell Cancer Research Institute in Buffalo NY? My husband just left there, and folks come there for treatments from all around the world. I do know that they also have an expert who uses the Gamma Knife for the treatment of cancer. You may want to ask your doctor(s) about them. Take care.
