Former occupation; the Metropolitan Police Department honorary teacher Kendo, Hitotsubashi University Instructor. Hanshi 8th dan.

小手先でなく丹田で打つ攻める、さばく、ことですね。技の極意は丹田のシコリを作ることです。これが出来ると剣の理合いが手に取るように分かってきます。丹田にシコリが無い方が指導している剣道は無駄が多すぎます。 千葉先生は５０年前武道館で川添先生と共に全日本の試合を拝見しています。素晴らしい上段でした。

you cant actuaĺly do that with real sword due to weight. i meant not as slow as real sword does. subject cannot be promoted until he/she can swing the samurai sword as fast as with bamboo sword.
