Mick McManus and Steve Logan getting cheered at the beginning...who'd have thought?

They were natural heels and so it was jarring seeing them being cast-lighted as babyfaces.

@@liverpix - In hindsight, I think you might be correct. I used to watch it on Worldwide Sport as well and you have corrected my alcohol and drug-torn memory... Thank you.

Steve Logan looks a bit like Coronation Street's Jack Duckworth in his younger days.

Why did these wrestlers hardly ever get a bloody nose or a burst lip when someone like Nagasaki smashed them in the face?

Incredibly camp, I wonder if Kendo and George were lovers? I must read Peter Thornley's new book.

Thornley came out and said that he knew George had a soft spot for him, but no, they never hooked up. He did look after George in his final days though, despite the stigma that went along with AIDS in the 1980s

So Saturday afternoon entertainment in the 80’s was a couple of blokes in their pants fighting a bloke in a gimp mask and his err well who knows.

We watchex this on a black and white tv,itwas anarchic, chaotic I never understood it,but the crowd seemed to be in on it,just felt so distant from it,there is a lot mre to this than meets the eye,It all nonsense but by saying this youre part of the plot, lighten up.

Nobody liked Kendo - must have been because of Georgous George - I saw him wrestle a couple of times and he was truly hopeless. Famous and USELESS manager! Annoyingly this broadcast has been 'zoomed' to fit w/s so only half the credits are visible and heads are missing on close up - you get this all the time on TV these days. Irritating.
