Alvaro, I love your channel, so informative. Two weeks after my brother died, I had a dream that he was in Purgatory. It was a symbolic dream, but when I woke up, I knew that he was in Purgatory and why. I also had a dream several years ago that my grandmother was in Purgatory. I recently had a dream of one of our parishioners who passed away, who did not say anything, but with her actions, I knew that she was in need of prayers. I pray every day for the souls in Purgatory including the St. Gertrude chaplet. I have felt the presence of souls and gotten to know what they do to get my attention. It has been a process of learning, with the help of my spiritual director. Our God is so good and loves us SO MUCH!

One of the ways is that I feel as if someone is at the foot of the bed and pushes a couple of times on the mattress, that I feel it move. Like hard taps against the mattress with their legs. Another way is I hear something shift or move when there isn't anybody around or awake. These things usually happen at night. My mother used to experience the same, but we never knew what it was. One time when my husband and I were in another town, visiting at a priest's house, I felt the presence of someone as soon as we opened the door and went in. I felt those taps on the mattress that night when my husband was in the bathroom. When my husband was away and I was by myself in that house, still feeling the presence, as I was praying and praying, several different prayers, then different litanies, I started praying more out loud and with a louder voice. After some time that presence instantly disappeared. If felt that the air was lighter. I hope that the soul that was present there was received into Heaven by my prayers. My most common 'go to' prayers at those times are the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the St. Gertrude prayer. @@gemmag.2988

Thank you so Alvaro. Following you Channel has put my Faith to higher heights. Attended a Pilgrimage at my local Church to a Shrine of St .Jude and we had Mass my Prayer intention was praying for the Popes, Cardinals, Bishops and Priests in Purgatory. The Priest who led the Sacrifice of Mass was very surprised by the prayer and it became part of his Homily. Thank you for guiding us always.

I have a question, every time I pray my rosary, two things I pray for are the souls in purgatory and those who have died with no one to pray for them. I know i am broken, prideful, but does it help? For years I would pray the rosary and not pray for anything.

Luke 16:19-31 is most of the time explained as if the rich man is in hell. No, this man atones for his sins. If he had been in hell, he would have cursed Abraham and not begged for his brothers... Also ; Lc 12 :42-48 First servant (verse 43) goes to heaven. Second servant (verses 45-46) is beheaded = final = hell... Third and fourth servants, (verses 47-48) are punished according to their sin... and behold... he that knew the commandments, but did not act in accordance with it, he is judged more strictly because of his knowledge and responsibility… The third and fourth servant… are not in heaven, and not in hell… They are in purgatory. Matthew 22 :11 But when the King came in and saw the guests, He saw one who was not wearing wedding garments. 12 He said to him, "Friend, how did you come in here without your wedding clothes?" He couldn't say anything. 13 Then the King said to the servants, "Bind him hand and foot, and cast him into the utter darkness." There will be a wailing and a gnashing of teeth there. The 'Bosom of Abraham' is a place, like the 'Utter Darkness', the 'Holy Mountain', 'Under the Altar' and the 'Sea of Glass'... God bless all who pray for the people in purgatory!

We are all sinners, broken and prideful in our own ways. God hears all our prayers and uses them too. Don't get discouraged. All of us - we know not how to pray.

Alvaro has made a video with scripture about it. The name purgatory is not in the Bible, but the place is described. (Also in some parables). God bless.
