Because I know know people will respond with “things happen” “don’t judge” “that don’t define a person,” no one has to allow one action to define their whole lives. However, if the person continues with the same line of thinking, it doesn’t allow for improvement. Imo, individuals are all about themselves and their immediate wants and desires. There’s no thinking about how and what you present to the world is perceived on a larger scale. Example: The 21 year real estate women from ATL.. The overall responses were along the line of “her parents did a good job.” When a parent graduates against all odds, the response is wow their children must be proud. When someone is a first generation graduate.. Response their family must be proud. You don’t just represent yourself. You literally represent so much more. We really have a major issue in the black community creating multiple children and not having a stable home.
