@marciavanloo3060 No one is safe. I find it absolutely INSANE that people post their minor children's faces and bodies online. Even if no sickos are seeing the pictures (THEY ARE), how can a 6 year old understand the concept of "whatever goes online is forever"? They cannot. Children can't consent to having their images online. If you're a parent posting your minor child, you suck, you're part of the issue, and you're not doing your job as a protector. 😐

A lot of people are trying to focus on the daughter, when I legitimately feel like we should probably be focusing on this system of exploitation going on in the industry. I even heard people asking why Dot went at him so hard, asking what Drake did to deserve it. Like…what? Were you listening?? Kendrick loathes everything this man has done and what he stands for. Man....I've been around since 82 and this is the most disrespectful thing I've ever heard in my life. He dissected him completely before he EVEN ADDRESSED HIM. Everything about this was pure venom. Like you mentioned in the video, Kendrick isn't trying to win, he's trying to bury the man, not the artist. Killshot was probably the most complete destruction of an artist I've heard in a diss. Not the hardest, not the catchiest, but the most complete. No Vaseline was the most vicious takedown of someone being negligent as an artist. This was so far above and beyond the level of personal disrespect in any diss track I've ever heard. He didn't even mention his music, other than to explain to his DENIED CHILDREN what their deadbeet father did for a living. He didn't talk about banging his chick or him not having good records....this was complete character murder.

A narrative has been pushed to the world by the industry that portrays black men as trifling, shiftless, sex-crazed, violent, ignorant and dangerous. They try to dehumanize us. They don’t know or see the everyday beauty and strength that exist in our culture, despite everything we have to go through. We do. That’s why we fight so hard to protect it. I think he's not sure she is his daughter, which is the same game he played with Adonis before claiming him. But the mother of the girl was much younger when she got pregnant by him than the retired porn star and didnt know how to stand up to him and make him take the test and probably in complete shock that he was denying it. Kendrick keeps calling him a pdf file and master manipulator because he knows he's manipulated so many young girls in that way. One of Kendrick's bars I notice everyone has missed is the double on "I can smell the tales (tails) on you now." He's referring to young fast tail girls who think they know it all/dont know grown men will use them up and throw them away.

What do we go from here? First, you had probably, by far, the best, appropriate reaction to this song. I keep coming back to this video tbh. But Drake needs to walk away. When/if he comes back, DO NOT RETURN TO HIP HOP. BTW this was not a battle. That implies that all parties understood the assignment and are on some sort of equal footing. This was truly like what would happen if Terrance Thorton met Terrance Crawford in a boxing ring.

I was around for No Vaseline, Hit 'em Up, Ether, etc. and none of those songs compare to this one when you think about the levels of psychological mayhem unleashed on Drake. Agreed, your the first reactor to actually step back and ask "what can WE do about it", too many people just consuming it as gossip and not thinking about the implications. Imo we gotta make sure our sons and daughters know that they're loved for who they actually are. We gotta raise men who are fully in tune with themselves, not ones who gotta objectify women chasing a twisted image of masculinity they know they will never fit. We gotta raise women who understand they are so much more than the objects broken men want them to be. And its gotta go beyond just the kids, because grown friends and family fall into the same trap. Our ideas of what "gives us value" as human beings can't keep coming from the entertainment industry, from top to bottom the industry is rotten.

Looking back, it really makes you think about forks in the road in life. This is a prime example of it. Drake could’ve went on partying for however long doing his bullshit, but he picked a fight that ruined his life and sent his life in a completely different direction. Funny how that happens. Kendrick was the reaper he was always meant to meet. And now there’s no going back. The party died.

I’m 54 and I have heard every diss track made. This is by far the most comprehensive breakdown of an opponent that I have EVER seen. What Kendrick did was simple: dragged Drake n stage, tied him to a chair, put a mirror in front of him and forced him to see his own reflection, and we, the masses, had front row seats. Let me just say I’m from the era where nothing was off limits when it came to battle rapping. Also, what is and what isn’t true is insignificant. A believable lie works as good as the truth. Kendrick and Drake could be lying about what they are alleging, but it doesn’t matter. What Kendrick is saying is far more damaging and hits harder because of his writing and storytelling abilities. Drake can’t write like this… neither can his team of writers. Kendrick out wrote them all, and he successfully painted Drake as a lying, deadbeat, predator and culture vulture that uses ghostwriters. He basically said that Drake a person with no integrity or substance. 😳

This part!!!! Pusha goaded Drake silly self because he already had everything ready! Push knew not only about Adonis but more than likely about the other alleged children, and the other things Drake is allegedly involved in behind the scenes. It is definitely deeper than rap and very interesting how a lot of the rappers in the industry are very, very silent about the allegations being made. I think Kendrick witnessed who Drake really is behind the scenes and then coupled with Drake’s response to the “Control” verse….it changed how he felt about him. It’s personal. Never been about rap. Wouldn’t be surprised if Push and Kendrick had a conversation. And that maybe some stuff was shared with J Cole and that’s how he was able to change his mind so swiftly about beefing with Kendrick. Drake is…interesting. I always told my sister that he’s lame as hell lol even if he makes decent songs, that man just gave off this energy that he was wack and weird lol but my sister loves her some Drake.
