People who cant freestyle try to get some freestylers credit by diverting the original definition. The point in fact is that it takes a special skill to be able to come off the top and rap without reference or premeditation and people who write dont deserve that kind of credit because they havent exemplified the skill freeestyling requires. The conflict is when a person really freestyles (spits off the top); that is an extremely commendable talent and skill, and an entirely different process than writing a rap. The freestylers unique display can be overshadowed by a writer claiming to have freestyled a rap, and in fact wrote the rap (blatently misleading to gain intrigue [the same thing the men you named have done]).
