Kendrick brought all of California together in beautiful harmony to completely obliterate Drake. At that point he had already been beaten, but that concert practically dug up his corpse, roasted it, took the charred skeleton, stomped it into dust, vacuumed up the dust, took out the vacuum bag, and then hurled it into the sun. Rinse and repeat.

For over a month, there have been videos of "Not Like Us" getting played at block parties, clubs, anime conventions, events where college marching bands are performing it, etc. Kendrick got people of different backgrounds and creeds - even the Crips and the Bloods! - to unite from all over just to dump on this one man, and then Lamar orchested a 90-minute televised funeral for him. People will be screaming "A MINOOOOOOR" at Drake for the rest of his days. I don't see how he recovers from this.

At the end of the day Kendrick stood on business and proved what he said. Drake is a cultural colonizer. He may be Black but he's not a Black American, and he's the reason hip hop has moved so far away from the culture. Kendrick let the music speak for itself. Hasn't been online. Hasn't made any memes. Made the song and left. Edited to add: as a Black woman, I stopped rocking with Drake because he kept talking about Black women. He dissed Esperanza Spalding. All she does is play smooth jazz and mind her business

He literally broke down in the song why he’s a colonizer. He constantly appropriates Black American culture. That Jamaican accent thing is some Canadian thing I’m not too informed on, but what makes him a colonizer is purely based on his actions using Black American music and culture.

Kendrick's Goal in this Beef was not just to Strip Drake's Fake Persona drop to reveal the man underneath. It is to drive this man to commit not Live. Who likes Drake in Hip Hop in the Culture he has begged to be a part of. His fan? That is not enough for Drake. He wanted Common to "respect" him, Failed. I honestly believe he wanted everyone he ever beefed with to "respect." him. but for Drake respect is Sycophantic love. That was never going to happen.
