@@shizdakid How so? “Tryna strike a chord” means “to say something or do something that makes people respond in a way they may relate to” (aka Drake just so happening to talk to a lot of young girls that are child stars similar to how he started, supposedly talking to Millie Brown about boys…) A Minor is a Chord in music, as well as a way to describe a person under the age of 18. To play A Minor requires all white keys (A, C, E) …and a majority of the minors Drake tends to befriend or follow are white girls (or light skin black girls like Latto’s little sister, Mos Def’s daughter currently, his favorite high school girls basketball team…) that are much younger than him And though not fully in A minor itself, A minor 7 is played repeatedly at the start of Meet the Grahams, and continues after every verse/letter Kendrick addresses to Drake and his family members.

This is a Pandora's box type of situation once the piranha like hype clears. Is this really what Kendrick wants to become known for going forward... his legacy forever tied to Drake? Will this lead to new challengers coming for Kendrick. The last thing the culture needs is a Diss record category being celebrated, considering all the deaths in rap music that resulted from beefs and people saying sh*t. Not to mention folks on social media adding jet fuel to situations with all the videos and speculations they post. This will clearly open a door that shouldn't be opened. I'm shocked the conspiracy heads don't see this as another tool that the puppet masters orchestrated to put more clowns in prisons and caskets. Opening the floodgates to unprecedented Diss songs to get a Grammy. Someone clearly profits from this BS. *Y'all being distracted from the real agenda.* Never make a God of a mortal man, for every human is subject to corruption! Don't be foolishly led to Jonestown worshiping a human!

@@slapopimp i see your perspective and i also see that aside from the disses to drake it's also a diss to something bigger, hollywood and the industry profiting off of black trauma. this song was SO west coast rap that kendrick bridged the gap between rival gangs even the people of compton said that this song started to HEAL the community there's artists from these gangs starting to link up the pop out coming together and unify makes it bigger than this beef. kendrick never wanted to be a savior and i wished people understood him but the showcase of the diversity of talented black artists will hopefully show that we CAN unify and show love together. kendrick was the first step it's up to us, the culture to keep going

Had to make another comment. The timeline of how this all happened is just amazing. Kendrick releases an album admitting his personal flaws and genuinely reflecting. Album does okay but not amazing. Now that he's integrated and owned his own dirt he then puts himself into the position to call out somebody who does everything in their power to hide their own dirt. He then uses the fact he already did his own soul searching to empower his critiques. Not only does this bring eyes from the entirety of Hip Hop but then it's bringing in fans from all different scenes who have never heard rap this good before. Then a bunch of unreleased music mysteriously gets leaked and everyone's obsessing over them. Now people are going back to Mr Morale in the wake of all this to understand the genius behind it.... Kendrick.. Holy shit man..

@@shizdakid with all that being said, the one thing naysayers claimed was a strike against MTG was it was "too depressing" and "not a party record" . This is why Not Like Us trumps it. Kenny has literally beaten Drake at his own game. This song was an instant hit, broke nearly all records in digital sales, its only gotten more popular in time, contributed to a 15,000 seat sell out show, simultaneously elevated Kenny's image and tarnished Drake's and has now been considered 'Grammy Viable'. Remember, Drake's fans set the rules, they wanted a hit record.

He's been trying it through AK as well imo 🙄 That mofo has been saying that he's getting threats from Bloods, and "researching" TDE affiliations. Plus that fake botting guy also said Kendrick's people failed to pay him and threatened his life 😑

He jumped in the Meg and Tory beef and started dissing Meg. After Mos Deaf spoke out he started following his daughter. When Ross broke up with his ex Christina Mackey he invited her to his show. He was pillow talking with Future ex and that’s why Future started dissing him as well.

When the Vice President of the United States makes a reference to a diss track about you during The BET Awards, it's time to pack it up for awhile. Maybe go to a nice beach somewhere far away for the summer. This just ain't your hour, buddy.

Drake did nothing for African Americans just like how he never did anything for his home country. If the concert showed me anything, it got me thinking how he barely puts on Canadian artists and it’s just artists from the US. That’s weird. Imagine Bad Bunny or El Alfa skipping all the Hispanic artists to collab with just American artists.
