Plus his public…wierdness…with underage and barely legal girls. It actually goes a lot deeper than I originally thought (not just the making out with a 17 year old on stage and Millie Bobbie Brown stuff). There is a youtube video called drake creep lore (or something close to that) that has a lot of receipts if you need another reason to dislike drake.
@MarvinVincent-wv2rd6 ай бұрын
No, Drake is not a victim. And he's too big for this to affect him long-term (the lies, hate. etc). But it puts a stain on black people that (I can't say we, because I did not partake) that they are so weak, angry, divided, and full of hate. The impact of Kdot is sad and negative on the black community long-term. Be shallow, dance, laugh, make jokes, but the consequences will be in the long run. @jay_z37 ай бұрын
No he doesn't people know those other styles aren't Drake's original styles, but that doesn't mean he has to stay one-dimensional. If you have the ability to cross over to other genres with different styles, only shows how versatile he his, and that's not a bad thing. In fact I'm sure all of the hate from other artist is only showing because they can't do the same thing.
@ollieallen41977 ай бұрын
@jay_z3 Drake does not pay homage to what he "borrows," and he is ignorant of the culture he profits from. He shows a lack of humility and respect to rap culture, because he is such a undeniable pop star. This is and will ever be the engine that powers his downfall. Unless, he decides to examine his fallacies and reverse those trends.

He's the Apple iPhone of rap... Makes you believe the things he introduces are his ideas, when really they are force-stolen from everyone else, that actually put in the creative work

@@jay_z3versatile is something you yourself do. not something you copy lol. anyone can copy someone’s sound rn , you can too. but real versatility is their own thing. doing whatever you wanna do, how you wanna do it whenever. adding things, CREATING things, mixing shit up, not copy n paste. drakes sound is his own, the singing shit with the topics. but what else is his own?
@jay_z37 ай бұрын
@misanthr0pic No versatile means going with the flow and vibe of the song. Drake's an actor by trade. So if the role calls for a certain persona, accent, look, etc, then you have to be able to deliver. Hollywood don't like to work with one-dimensional actors, they get the least amount of roles. That's why Drake gets the most amount of roles in the music game because he's able to rise to the occasion and do what is required for the song. Why get in the rap game and not come in to get it all? Why come in half Steppin when you yourself know you're capable of so much more? It's not Drakea fault that most artist (including Kendrick) can only play around in one genre , maybe 2 at best.. Drake shouldn't have to dim his light to make others feel special or pander to "the culture." 💯

Kdot is the real colonizer, he's helping white supremacist keep black people in the little areas that were established for them years before most of us were born. They want to keep us there or gone. Drake is too inspiring and really shows what it is to be truly free. Kdot is envious of Drake and OVO because Drake has a unique sound that is from Canada. But Dot is playing right into the white supremacists hands with this one and keeping people in the same old ways. He probably will be awarded heavily. But Drake will forever be my hero for trying to show us a new way and dealing with the lies on his name by the envious, the hate, colorism, racism, and disrespect. Drizzy is forever the GOAT.
@MarvinVincent-wv2rd6 ай бұрын
Drake can't colonize you, you're already colonized if you're black in America with very few exceptions . Don't you listen to Malcolm X teachings. The problem is when Drake puts on another artist it’s to completely steal their style, they’re cadence and get them to go right for him and at the end of the day. Yes, they got a little fame and a little money but Drake benefited so much more and then he moves on and then their career is over. That’s because it’s all Drake and not the other artist. he’s not doing what Dr. Dre does for the artist he signs. Dr. Dre doesn’t sign an artist and then make a solo album. That’s pretty much featuring that artist and then just does that every year. Dr. Dre set up his artist so that after the first couple albums that they can go on and make a great album without him. If you look at the credits of TC, half the album isn’t credited to The Weeknd just four or five songs, but what was more important to Drake was learning how The Weeknd made a moody atmospheric album and that’s what he really wanted Abel to give his approval for. Abel may only be credited for a few songs but that whole album only happens because of Abel’s influence.

This so very well communicated. Im very impressed. Great video. You nailed down the cultural nuances that inform the core issues Kendrick and others have with Drake and what he represents. Great work man

What’s funny is a “breath of fresh air” is how we felt about Little Brother, Phonte being an important breeze of said air. Drake early on admittedly took Phonte’s style and writing approach, his signing to Young Money allowed him a bigger stage to display it. Drake began his career doing the very thing he’s doing, taking on personas that was never his.

Im still surprised at this double standard how dr disrespect lost his whole career for talking to a minor while drake gets away with all of his minor…problems

The problem with using ghost writers is, sure you can write a decent song ten times as fast, but you'll still never be able to imitate the kind of lyrical genius that people like Kendrick or Eminem are capable of. It's a fine, proven strategy for achieving commercial success, and pumping out a high volume of music that sells, but it still won't save you in a rap beef where the fans are going to be actively dissecting every word and paying extra attention to the substance of what's being said. It's easy to make the mistake of conflating popularity with talent 1:1, and while Drake is certainly talented, a less fragile ego would have realized that being the most popular and being the most talented aren't always the same thing. Genius is transcendent. It's not a simple function of talent multiplied by time and effort. Ten decently talented fantasy authors sharing the workload can't make Fellowship of the Ring, or Storm of Swords. Ten decently talented chess players voting on moves can't beat a grandmaster. Ten decently talented classical musicians working together can't make Moonlight Sonata or Requiem, and ten decently talented rappers collaborating on the same diss track can't make Meet the Grahams. Productivity isn't enough. You have to see the wind bending as it blows the leaves, you have to notice things that other people can't, and as much as I generally dislike Drake I actually sympathize with the yearning for that validation that all the popularity in the world will fall just short of giving you, and the obvious insecurity that comes with it. The validation that comes from the rest of the top 20 saying you're the best, not just the largest number of fans. His commercial success put him on top of the world. He reached for the sun and the wax melted off his wings. Hopefully he learns from it.

Drake is pretty much Brainiac. He collects all the data of an artist while working with them. In the immediate aftermath, they get exposure and money and everything else. But in the long run, Drake gets another hit album and will continue the cycle while the artist in question gets forgotten in the years to come because Drake didn’t put them on. Brainiac collects data and info from the planets he visits and sees them to the peak of their knowledge and then he destroys them and leaves for the next planet.

All this bs says nothing. Both sides made allegations the can’t be proved. If drake was a pedophile he’d be in jail by now. If Kendrick was an abusers he’d be divorced by now. It’s all just speculation and drama. Drake definitely took a L and it’s not the end of the world. This everlasting conversation and back and forth of the “funeral” of drake is wild. Starting to turn into jealousy and not “beef”.

🎵Asap Rocky has done the similar thing as Kendrick, in a different way. 🎶 He works with up and coming rappers, not just to profit off them but to truly work with talented artists. His song *1 train* was a song that showcased such a diverse range of different rappers. Asap Rocky let everyone shine on that song, including Kendrick Lamar and Joey Badass. 🎵 Asap Rocky took a homeless talented artist off the street and let him feature 5 times on his album. His name is Joe Fox. Rocky was doing the Yams day festival every year and letting up and coming and superstar rappers share the same stage to celebrate the life of his mentor and friend Asap Yams. Asap Rocky hardly ever does mainstream music, he has 1 or 2 mainstream songs and never does club bangers. But he has a huge cult following and sells out festivals. Drake saw that Rocky was getting respect and was doing something different, so he wanted to work with him.

I've never liked Drake. I've listened to a few of his songs. But can't ever say I'm a fan. He's always seemed fake to me. He's a pop star - if anything. But the whole thing with his baby mama and son showed me what sort of person he is. And his crazy obsession with Rhianna. To really bury him all Rhianna needs to do now is release her own diss with ASAP. He's still butthurt she didn't choose him 😂😂😂 Now with the pdf file stuff coming out I hate him even more. Poor Aubrey. He's toast.
