Welll... It's quite noticeable how Kendridck gradually got better on live since the Overly Dedicated tour so far. His performances of "i" and "These Walls" one live are at the peak. I watch "i" almost every day.

+Review X Hunter look at his performance with prince or k.dot at jimmy fallons playing untitled or his perfomance at ellen's or colberts, and not to mention his grammy perfomances. to the best of my knowledge this seems as his worst performance ever. he's more aggressive and confident on other live events while he seems a bit off and awkward on this one

Kendrick has got to be one of, if not the best, modern rappers. The way he actually sings in his songs and the beats... Those instrumentals just trigger so many memories. You can just turn on his music, relax, and it just triggers so many memories. Swimming pools and ADHD are some of the best rap songs in YEARS!

In the song, when he says "dive', he extends the first sound to make it sound like "die." It's pretty much a double meaning for how drinking so much alcohol leads to death. You can sorta notice it in the regular version of the song, but here in the live version, he makes it more noticeable.

This was my first exposure to Kendrick Lamar and I was hooked immediately. Something was just so mesmerizing about it all to my little 13 year old brain. When I turned 16 and got a job lifeguarding part of my first paycheck paid for TPAB on ITunes. Never stopped being a fan. Kendrick’s influence not just on rap but on so much of my generation really can’t be understated. What a man, what a legend.

Wow this live version incorporates some of the double entendres people talked about in the song. In the first verse, "I see the crowd mood [moved]" references the change in culture where casual drinking has been overtaken by the need to get drunk every night. In the hook, "[...] then you dive [die] in it" makes it much clearer that he is actually being critical of people's excessive drinking (ironically, this song is extremely popular at clubs where people are doing just that). K.dot is great.

I feel like Kendrick is the next fucking KENDRICK! How about we stop saying shit like "kendrick is the best rapper to live" and "kendrick is the next 2pac". Every rapper to ever spit adds a new flavor to the scene. We either like the taste or we don't. But that's not the point. All of these different flavors make up the collective hip-hop community. You wouldn't say to an artist that their work is "better then Picasso" or "on par with", (or that "they are the next Picasso") and in the same respects you wouldn't tell an artist that "they are not as good as Picasso". ART is ART. It should not be compared or critiqued based on what others have done before, but should be respected and enjoyed in the moment, taking everything the artist has to offer. In the same light, we (the appreciators of art) should appreciate every MC and producer for who they are, and what unique taste they bring to the collective culture of hip-hop.
