The music is beautiful and his message is deep. All love to y’all, hope you can do these someday

You gotta remember his prime was over 20 years ago. He retired in like 04. Of course he came back and has released more music, but sparingly. And unlike when he was in his prime, I don’t think he really chases hits or relevancy anymore. 4:44 is the only album he’s released in the last decade, unless you count the Jay Electronica shit, and neither of those albums had young people in mind lol

00:45 It's part of the lore that Kendrick is prophetic. I'm agnostic about all things spiritual, but I will say that I think Kendrick is definitely a cultural prophet & a generational talent. He's deeply connected to Black American culture - specifically, but not solely Hip Hop. Blues, Jazz, R&B, Soul... not to mention his love of Black films & the way it's also reflected in the cinematic nature of his storytelling. Man, I can't wait for Pops to hear Kendrick's albums. I already know he's going to lose his mind at the MV for Heart pt. 5 - TPaB might make him achieve nirvana.
