Thank you Kendyll! This video was very helpful and informative. I think it is extremely useful to hear an opinion of a professional. This is a great format and you absolutely don't have to show an art video every time! It is great to hear about your experience and thoughts.

I always enjoy your informative videos Kendyll. I usually pick up tidbits that are helpful for me. I'm an architectural illustrator and most of the stuff you discuss is applicable to what I do as well.

This video made me feel so much better. I was feeling so low because I'm in my second year of freelance and still struggling. But this video gave me a boost and I needed to hear that making content is more important than cold emailing!! Thanks Kendyll 😊

As usual you have given so much useful information!! I tried the rocketsearch lol. I wish I had known about that in my last job as an Executive Assistant!

Thanks so much, Francine!! That's great to hear. And I agree -- I wish I had known about it sooner.

i totally agree. i have reduced the time i spend on cold contacting by like.. 80 - 90%. The output is just so little compared to the time spent researching and crafting emails, and though that is to be expected, it's taken a huge emotional toll on me. Lol. I only reach out now if I see a company/brand that lights a spark in me. Other than that I'm just working on my portfolio, online presence, and other streams of income (non art or art related). EDIT: I also want to add that if you have some kind of personal connection to the AD that will make you stand out of the crowd IMO. Imagine you're the AD, who are you gonna choose? The random person on the internet, or someone that was referred to you? If talent is on the same level

Thank you, Zafran!! It has it's own challenges for sure, but I'm glad I got the studio. I actually talk about this quite a bit in next week's video. :)

I think I prefer this vlog camera casual kind of style. It's a little more personable. Love your videos and helpful info not matter what though!!

That's great to hear! Takes the pressure off to know I can film vlog style sometimes without you guys hating it.
