I feel like his gadget "Dashi dash" would have been better if it lets him keep his current attack pattern for 3 seconds instead of just giving him the dash. If he needs to quickly kill, he can use it when he has the slice. If he needs to run, he can use it when he has the dash.

I ran a graph of kenji’s max diagonal super range against his reticle angle wrt x or y axis. It maxes at pi/4 or 45° for 13.601 tiles. It minimises at around 12.57. He outranges most brawlers with his minimum range and given his quite wide super reticle (2+ tiles) we actually allow a deviation of 5-10° for clipping somebody with a slash. It deals quite a bit of damage and he gets back too. It’s insanely non-committal for a 13.6 tile ability. Thanks for doing all this math for us. I thought I’d add to this. It’s crazily nerdy and is probably not winning anyone games, but something to keep in mind facing him. Especially when you’re mid against a kenji sidelane - his angle lines up almost perfectly for around 85~% optimisation of range. He’s like a piper on mid - you can’t fall below a certain threshold or else you get sniped. I can see this being really strong WITH a piper too - it’s 5000-5750 free or consistent damage which outranges like, everyone. EDIT: Kenji has a 4.2° margin for error to hit this. 5-10 is wrong. I just calculated it

I think I understand Supercells Brawler Releasing System. They release an epic and an mythic Brawler. Than in the next Update they release a mythic and a Legendary. And for the next they will again release an epic and an mythic brawler. So I can say that the Update from November-December will have an Epic Brawler in November and an mythic one in December (maybe we will get him for free because of brawlidays).

Brawlers like Lily, Leon, Crow and Edgar qualify as assassins, their supers are instant/stealthy mobility tools and they have superior burst damage. The rest of the assassins fit more into the fighter class, which contains heroes with balanced stats that must approach the enemy upfront and wreck havoc, like Kenji, Sam and Stu (also some tanks like Bibi and Ash), the diver class, which plays neutral till they can use a mobility tool to dive into the enemy side and wreck havoc by holding their own, like Buzz and Melodie (with some tanks like Bull also qualifying) and finally the duelist class, which contains heroes whose kit specializes in 1v1 encounters by giving them various abilities, like Fang and Cordelius

Kenji Nerf Idea: Instead of disappearing for his super, he stands still until the fish lands, then teleports into place for his slash attacks. Before the attacks happen, Kenji gets a 50% shield. Currently, Kenji's super making him vanish is very disorienting and it making him invincible is very annoying when you're trying to take him out (the rest of his kit is already makes him extremely hard to knock out). This way, Kenji's super still protects him but it doesn't protect him fully so if you use super when at like 1,000 health you can still be knocked out by the enemy team.

Kenji seems like it got inspiration from Genji in Overwatch. Genjis ultimate is a dash and slash as well. The exact same as Kenjis main attack. Genji can also deflect damage back at the enemy. Similar to Kenjis shield
