Nice video Steve...Does the Kenko 1.4 support using Canon EF-S lenses on Canon DSLRs. I saw a video where a 1.4 TC was used to put a Sigma 10-20mm EF-S Lens on a full frame body without any Vignette. I 'd love to get my Canon 10-22mm EF-S lens on my full frame body if it would work. Of course now it would be a 14mm lens at the widest, but still very wide. Thanks.... Philip

should work. the 1.4X enlarges the image circle. you'd have to try it and see. I don't have it in front of me right now to try EF-S lens

pins are pins. they just connect the camera to the lens, although the adapter does seem to tell the body about a 1 stop compensation. if you have tried a 2X the lens may be too dark for AF to work. FWIW the AF on this lens isn't that great...

how does this one work with a Tamron 18-400mm lens?
@thedp3 жыл бұрын
no reason its shouldn't if they fit together, but wide end of lens might not be that great.

Does it support IS. I have the canon 70 200 f2.8 IS mark 1. Thanks!

ummmm hate to disagree with ya my friend but they are not all the same, for example.... if you use a tamron converter with a canon, lets say.... 70/200 f2.8...... it will work, however, its highly NOT recommended, the class of the converter sticks out way to much, almost touching the class of the lense, so if you should slightly knock or accidentally bang the end of the lense, you will likely shatter the glass of either your lense or converter...or both, very bad advice my friend

+Danny Sauve www.tamron-usa.com/lenses/prod/teleconverters.php You are thinking of the _canon_ converters that stick forwards. the tamron does not and is the same as the kenko, actually had them side by side. Its not uncommon to have one company / brand name sub out manufacturing to another and this is one case. That said even if you have a lens that sticks backwards past the lens mount, its not going anywhere. There simply is NOT that sort of play in the lens mounts. The play that is there if any is rotational, not lateral. So if the glass doesn't touch there is no concern here. You shouldn't be smacking your lenses into things and even if you did, you'd have to take a really hard hit. I mean like falling off a ladder or being hit by a fast moving object. what would happen is you'd rip out the lens mount from either the lens, camera body or adapter. That is something I've seen. Even if mounts had the sort of play you imagine ( they don't ) and the glass did contact its not going to shatter. At worst it might make a scratch mark in the coatings. The force required to actually shatter a lens is really significant and if you had the sort of hit / impact where this is possible, quite honestly the last thing you are going to be worried about is your lens.
