Are You Capable of Riding a Green Horse (Part 2)

Ken and Dee Dee continue to work together to answer the question, "Are you capable of riding a green horse?"
DeeDee is still a little unsure. Ken still believes if you have a purpose and a plan, and you have experience riding broke horses, you are more than capable.
Tips for Continuing on to the Second Ride:
- Do a simple review of what was learned in the first session. You can move through quickly, but make sure there aren't issues along the way. If the horse remembers, there's no need to drill, just move on.
- Start asking for more movement. When you ask for the head to soften, make sure the feet follow before you release.
- Have a plan for different scenarios in your mind before they actually happen.
- When starting to ask for a trot, also practice shutting it down. You can turn the horse's head toward the wall if she does not respond to your stop cue. Shutting the trot down will build your confidence.

Thank you so much for these videos! I'm watching from Bosnia and Herzegovina (a small country in south Eastern Europe) and taking in every tip you have, you are very good at explaining. My husband and I bought our first horse, we have never ridden horse before and really never been really around horses, no one in our family has horse. He is in horse club near our house, but sadly, that horse club only does English riding and we like western horsemanship, so we watch your videos and a couple of more people, and try to apply all of that to our young horse. Safety is our priority so we are taking it real slow, but we see a lot of progress in the horse! Thank you again and I'm looking forward to this journey 😊

I am thinking of leasing a horse. I have never met not riden this horse. The owner is asking me to take a lesson on this horse. But are these techniques techniques better to get familiar to each other than me just getting on and riding?
