Very entertaining picks. The fact that you included so many LP's where Miles was in transition shows how he restless he was and constantly exploring. Looking forward to the second part.

Hi, Ken! Cool clips! My lovely wife surprised me with that huge Columbia cd box set, so it’s great to see this. Glad you left out Kind Of Blue. Not a knock on the album, but his catalogue in general deserves to be highlighted more than that one.

I love everything MILES. Meaning, I have a great interest in who Miles was, and what he was doing. Everything. But for how fascinated I am I don't take any critic claim to heart. This obsession I have started in 1980, when I was 16 and to this day, it has continued to grow. I take it seriously and I couldn't pick a top 10, 20, or best of. For me, Miles is the greatest. And I'll hold it right there.✌

As a self proclaimed Miles fanitic for over 50 years and with over 400 titles of regular issued releases and sound board quality shows I'm glad I'm not the only one out there. I had the opportunity to see Miles over ten times while growing up in NYC. I too could not pick a top Ten or any other number. Miles is the Man, the Myth and the Legend all in one.

Someday my prince will come is definitely a transitional album in every way but I sort of disagree with the idea that it is a step back. Teo with Trane is a step forward and feels almost like something off of Ole Coltrane.

About the album MILES on Prestige, you have the first pressing. When Miles saw the cover in green, he was pissed off because he didn't like green color. So, for the second pressing, they changed into blue color.

@@kenmicallefjazzvinylaudiop6455 - hardly my place to comment a disagreement, doctor. I did enjoy what i watched... that said, what number was the first album you were holding at the beginning ( Miles : the new miles davis quintet)? what number was "In a Silent Way"? what number was "Live - Evil"? okay...see what i mean? i could list all the albums you showed with no number... but that would be an unhelpful assnine move... I'm just trying to say, i engaged looking for the top "20" (even though the list started at 21 ;) ), and trying to figure out what number on your list the cover being showing occupied was hard to follow for me. why not put the full list in the comment section - that would be cool for some of us dullards :) still... i appreciate the efforts and your video.

I don’t think it’s that much of a big deal. I like the ‘magazine’ approach, going in debt about certain albums while showing others inbetween (‘and don’t forget this one!’). Kinda like the non-linear approach.
