Plz add belt routing to this video. The top (outer) of the belt goes under the pulley then the loop goes over the motor pulley. This is tricky for noob handymen and should have been shown. Other than that, good video. Thank for the help.

@@ThePteropterus It still doesn't make sense to me. What's the "top (outer) of the belt"? It's a loop. What's the pulley? Does the idler get looped into it somehow? It's all very confusing and I feel like an idiot. I'm sorry. I just don't understand.

Specifically, it seems like the idler is just sitting there only barely attached to the housing, and I can't thread the belt through it if that's what I'm supposed to be doing. The belt is a closed loop, and I don't see instructions about taking the idler apart to put the belt on it. I can loop the belt around the motor axle, but it's so loose that it doesn't really stay on, and the motor won't turn it at all because there's too much slack in the belt. This video looked helpful at first but now it seems like it just got me to buy a bunch of parts I can't use.

The drum will not rotate, but the belt is not broken - it is stationary with the drum. I think the motor is spinning on the stationary belt. What would cause that?

This is a good video but the only thing that I can recommend is. DON'T use any grease on the rollers that is like a magnet for lint. And will seize up the rollers, seen it too many times. If anything I use wd40 to wipe the shafts clean and dry of any gunk, then slide the new rollers on. Those rollers are made with A lubricant already impregnated in the bearing. No need for extra grease.

Y’all I have a question, we just got a kenmore he5 gas dryer. We plugged it in outside to see if it works. But DID NOT HOOK IT UP TO GAS. The drum doesn’t spin when only plugged in to an outlet. So my question is, do I need to have gas plugged in for the drum to spin?
