there were so many tank tops in particular that you said “i hate the way it feels, i hate the way it fits, i dont like the neckline, the straps are too short….i’m gonna keep it.” it’s okay to let things go if you hate the way they look and feel! it’s not serving you just taking up space.

Girl I love you, butttt you need to get rid of more things that you are no longer in love with. I used to hang onto everything, but there is something so uplifting about getting rid of things you no longer love. Think with the mindset that someone else may appreciate it & love it more/get more use out of it.

This!!! Also let’s be honest with ourselves (including myself) if there’s even 1-2 things we don’t like about the fit or style of the clothes it’s very likely we’ll change before we leave the house so why waste that mental and physical time on an item that we won’t even use.

Another option to also think about is if you did like your clothes of what you wore but the material is not the best because of too much pilling or just doesn't feel the nicest due to how the material feels by having low quality type of clothes sometimes, then that's another way to free up your space in the closet as well! That's what I have done with a few clothes of mine in the past! :D

Yess agreed! I would do multiple “closet clean outs” and only end up getting rid of 5 things. I did one the week with the mindset that if i don’t wear it at all then it’s gone, and I got rid of two whole trash bags worth of clothes

Girlie! All those tops that you don't love but are worried you'll need one day--- stick them in a box under your bed and set a reminder for 3-6 months from now. During that time, If you realize you do actually want to wear something, it goes back into the closet after you wear it. Donate whatever's left when the time is up; you can buy a better version if that "one day" ever comes around!

I understand you, Kenna! I used to be like this too. I kept "just in case" items even though I wasn't happy wearing them. They would sit in my cabinet untouched. Sometimes, you need to be ruthless and get rid of stuff you don't absolutely love. Next time, you can ask yourself: 1. Does it add value to my life? 2. Have I worn this in the past few months or years? 3. Would I take this with me if I moved to a different place? If the answer to all of the questions is an absolute YES, then keep it. If it's a NO and you're still hesitant, you can put it in a storage box for a few months. If you haven't touched it by then, you can completely get rid of it. :D

I love youuuu and this video is such a great inspo! We all need to do this here and there. But not just for clothes. For some of us or many of us it's sooooo much in our heads about what to keep and not to keep. For some of us it's so hard to get rid of some items. So we all need to work on our mindset, how to think about what to keep. Sometimes I need a video about that more than just a video about getting rid of things and store smarter. I love all videos but a talking video about how to think would be amazing! The ones you are not sure about and are having difficulty getting rid of put in a separate box “Time will tell” bin. It will make it easier in the next clean out if you haven’t gone in the bin for it and it will free up closet space. (Maybe inside the suitcase)👚
