Ken, this song sounds great so far and it's really coming together nicely! Interesting to hear about Verse 2 being totally different from Verse 1--why do you think other composers don't do that? The verses still sound like they're related, which is probably what matters most, right? Is there some songwriting "rule" someone came up with about doing that? ;-) Have a nice week off and I'll look forward to the next episode!

Thanks for that question, Howard! I think it’s more like an unwritten rule. I think it makes some sense in vocal music because even though the music for the second verse might be the same, the lyrics could change. However with instrumental music, I think as long as the two verses feel like they belong together, it makes more sense or at least as much sense to have two entirely different verses. At least it did on this song!
