My grandpa and uncle used to build rockets here. My grandpa retired and my uncle got laid off when the shuttle missions ended... My mom's cousin is an astronaut. It's pretty awesome to have family in NASA.

Shelby Nawalaniec friend of my families father helped design and install the first tracking satellites used by NASA, they of course have sense been replaced by Sophisticated ones lol, but that is cool you actually HAVE family IN NASA, Bet they have some AMAZING Stories.
@artcheezz19 жыл бұрын
+Shelby Nawalaniec So most of them know its all fake, or they just did what they been told? I mean all is real apart rockets going to space and satellites themselves do not exist in space, its all on ground bases. But what do i know... You must know better, because you maybe even painted the rocket which went to same place as the rest of them - into the ocean?! Are you polish Freemason, or just a fucking lying Perdola?

THAT was fantastic Tim, thank you very much for sharing this with us all. I HAVE taken one of the tours at KSC, 10 years ago on my last visit to the USA, Atlantis was actually on the launch pad at the time and I've still got video of it somewhere but I felt like I was there AGAIN watching your video........it really must be something special to actually see a rocket taking off, I bet you could feel the vibrations going straight through your chest! Thanks again, Carol x

I love seeing this!! I grew up in a small town near Orlando called St. Cloud, just between Orlando and the space center. I still have vivid memories of walking outside of my small elementary school to see the shuttle, or to be in the middle of a lesson and hear a shuttle exiting or reentering the atmosphere. It's been so long, so videos like these really bring back memories..

Excellent video overall, but a correction - the turn basin was used during the shuttle program to bring the external tank to the VAB for shuttle stack assembly, it arrived by barge from the Michoud assembly plant in Louisiana. It had nothing to do with the SRBs, which were brought in segments by train from Utah. After they were recovered from the ocean, the SRBs were brought to a Cape Canaveral Air Force Station hangar where they were cleaned, disassembled into their segments and then shipped back to Utah by the same train for refurbishment and eventual return to KSC for reuse.
