Wow, I was thinking that I was the only one having an existencial crisis for getting old at 20 something, but it's good to know that all my fellas born in 1996-2000 feel the same. I was born in 1998, I'm turning 24 in May and I'm not going to lie, I've been feeling so scared about my age, and I have anxiety for my birthday in a couple of months. Dude, we used to be the younger ones, the Millenials that all adults usted to complain about, and now we are the adults complaining about the gen Z. IM SO SCARED OF GETTING OLD, HELP :'v I want to be Gen Z. Also, it's crazy to realize that people born after 2000 to 2002 are in their early 20's. Like, for me they will always be 10 y-o kids. Okay, enough existencial crisis for today.

When we’re in our teens we don’t think we’ll ever get old. When I turned 22 it really hit me, like I am getting older. And the years will just keep coming. And what freaked me out even more was that people I love, my parents specifically, will get old too. But I realized that this has a lot to do with the way society tells women their youth is the greatest thing they have to offer. Men never feel like they’re getting old until they’re legit actually getting old. All we can do is enjoy our youth, take a bunch of pictures, and enjoy time with our loved ones. Happy birthday Kennedy!!

I turned 22 in may and I felt exactly the same!! Especially because most women in the generation before us (our mothers) were married and had their first child at our age. I think many of us in our young teen years thought we would have a similar life to our mothers, which makes it even more confusing to come to this age. Like you’re already stressing about becoming older and then your own expectations that you set up for yourself when you were younger get crushed as well lol because you’re still trying to figure life out and don’t have a stable ‘established ‘ life

Why would aging be a beautiful thing? Do you know what comes with aging? Have you seen old people? They wear diapers, they shit and piss themselves, they can't get out of bed alone, their vaginal fluids seep out, etc...their bones break, their muscles are completely gone, their skin is wrinkled and you think this is beautiful? Because that is what aging is, the destruction of the human body.

I feel you, I’ll be 24 in March. I’m literally confused as to why I’m so old. Like when did it happen? 😭 And then older people look at me like “oh shush child” but I’m actually somewhat stressed. Similar reasons to yours. I feel like I’m not where I’m supposed to be. I feel like I should be more accomplished. I didn’t go to college… I have a good job though (I would say well paying but it’s full commission so there’s no steady rate but I make decent money), I have my own car that I paid for. Other than that there’s nothing. I don’t go out or do anything. I’m not saying that just to say it, I actually never go out or hang out with anyone. I feel very uncomfortable in public because I don’t like the way I look & I’m just not super social. I’ve never had a boyfriend which is a byproduct of never going out & also I’m not really anybody’s ideal type. I’m just sort of disappointed. I feel like my youth is almost over & I’ve wasted it pretty much because of my insecurities. Not to place blame but my dad always put me down & told me that I’m not good enough or pretty enough or smart enough. I was already insecure but that made it so much worse. I think although I told myself that I ignored his words, they’re definitely affecting me still. Now the time that I should’ve been enjoying myself to the fullest is kinda over. Ugh… it’s honestly not that serious, sorry for ranting. I just feel like everyday is unfulfilling but I’m trying to start making my life worth living again.

No idea why this turned up in my feed, but I just turned 45 today. I'm halfway to 90. I'm almost exactly twice your age. I've been through major illnesses, births and deaths, marriage and divorce, watching my elder generation turn from young strong people into the elderly, watching the younger generation be born and become adults, and watching young people die long before their time. Your time has not started to pass quickly yet. You haven't finished maturing even physically. God, you haven't even started your real education yet. You won't know who you are for years yet. I say this in the nicest way possible, that you really do know nothing at 22 ... but at least you're starting to realize that.

I’m 20 years old and i always stress about finding my "passion" or what career i want to get into and what the future will look like :( it’s ongoing.. i feel like now is the time to pick something and really start my life, because i always see videos of people saying start young but i get stressed because i don’t know yet:/
@billmilligan72728 ай бұрын
@@reemaasfour3473 And that search never really stops. Yes, now is the time to start, but there's not exactly a deadline. The best advice on "passion" I think comes from Mike Rowe ... Don't start with passion. Start by looking for opportunities. Start by looking at your abilities and what value you can offer others. If you find a good enough opportunity that has potential then over time that will naturally become your passion. (Just don't choose OF or something similar, that would destroy you.). So long as you're looking honestly and paying attention, I'm betting you'll do fine.
