I looked it up, and he is the principal of a charter school (Movement Schools). He graduated college in 2019 and taught for 2 years before becoming an instructional coach (the article didn't say how long he had that role). Then he was approached about the principal gig. As a 31 year educator (administration included), most public school districts require at least 3 years teaching experience and master's degree to move into an admin position. I can only surmise that some charter schools don't have the same requirements.
