Actually, the "urine" line is not about urine at all. Oxxxy said "что есть МОЧИ", "моча" is "urine" but he meant a form of another Russian word - "мочь", this line means "very intestive/with last effort" (not exact translation)

Oxxxymiron's studio album named Горгород (Gorgorod / Gore-City) is a kind of poem with its own plot. The 11 tracks are placed in the order which actually follows the story. If you only listen to one track it isn't worth too much reading the lyrics, even though some of them can have sense separately. Tbh even Russians sometimes struggle to understand some of his lyrics xd

Mark is the protagonist of the story that is being told in the album Горгород. He was a writer who got mixed up with the wrong people (based on oxxxymiron and a self reflection). In one of the last songs of that album (башня из слоновой кости), he gets shot and we never find out who shot him. Even the song "who killed mark" doesn't fully answer the question in terms of the plot of the story. However, since oxxxy created mark as a self reflection, he also killed him to show that he moved on from that, but in this song, we find out that he didn't move on and it was bothering him. So the song "who killed mark?" is actually the one where he looks back at his insecurities and his past decisions and finally forgives himself and moves forward. In short, 10+ years ago there was a Vagabund group, in which Miron and Shokk were, they dissed Russian rap over the hill. Zhigan didn’t like it, he and Shokk wrote off to VK, where they fought even more. As a result, Zhigan warned that he would meet him in Russia when they came here with a concert. Vagabund come to Russia to give concerts, Zhigan and his people track down their place of residence, break into it with ten of them, put Oxy and Shokk on their knees and shoot the video that you saw at the beginning. Then they are given a choice, either they apologize publicly and then this video will not be leaked anywhere, or they do nothing and the video is leaked. Miron decided to apologize by chaining himself in blackmail, and Schokk decided to dump him in Germany and a video with him was published. Vagabund falls apart. Shokk, moving away from the situation, continued to litter further, which completely ruined relations with Miron and the mood of Zhigan and his people. And during these 10 years, Miron agrees to any conditions that Zhigan puts on him, as he is afraid that the video will be seen (for example, to star in his film "Bif" or their fake friendship). And now, after these 10 years, Miron realized that in order to free himself, he must not be afraid to crap himself and puts this video personally. In fact, it was all an absolute coincidence, since Zhigan had a very quarrel with Schokk and wanted him to answer for his words, and Oxy was already in a strained relationship with Shokk and wanted to leave Vagabund, but decided to do this when they finished the concerts, than I made a future mistake then, and now it’s a past mistake. Полистал пару видео данного паренька - это и с Noize MC. Показательно, как тяжело понять хоть толику смысла, находясь вне контекста и не зная внутреннюю кухню России. Даже если иностранцы находят текст/субтитры, то они не понимают всю глубину метафор и аллегорий. Зачастую даже не воспринимают тексты, как пересказ реальных событий - в их мире проблемы другие и те же строчки про "запрещённую организацию" выглядят для них больше как, понт и бахвальство, а не как описание полит. давления на интеллигенцию в стране и уничтожение инакомыслия. И так в каждой строчке, в каждом треке. И даже если общий посыл можно как-то уловить, то в деталях разобраться невозможно, если рядом не сидит россиянин, который смог бы провести "ликбез" по каждому слову. Всё таки Oxxxymiron, Noize MC, Anacondaz и т.д. - продукты для внутреннего рынка. Можно, не зная контекста, поймать некий вайб, слыша хорошие биты или оценивая подачу, но эта музыка делается не для этого. Как с песнями ДДТ - вряд ли кто-то в мире слушает Юрия Юлиановича, не зная русского языка. Не тот жанр, не те слова.

Oxxxy is for someone who's well-read on Russian and world literature. His texts are definitely more demanding than those by Eminem, with all due respect. And he is not the only one. Слава КПСС is also very good. I won't make any statements regarding rap/hip-hop music, reading and flow, as I'm not versed on the subject, but literary value of any one of these two by far exceeds anything I've heard from the American rappers so far.

Love your content bro. some answers here: oxxxymiron (his real name is Miron, read as "Meeron") was born in Russia, but spent his youth in London, where he met Porchy. that's why he know all the cockney language Mark is a lyrical hero of his second album "Gorgorod", which was released in 2015 and then oxxxy almost disappeared, rarely featuring with his old friends. the album is a story about Mark and his love in utopian totalitarian city, and the album's story ends with a gunshot killing that Mark (remember I said the oxxxy himself disappeared after that album). so his first comeback song is called "who killed Mark" cause it bothered every single fan of his music

Ken, I am Russian and grew up in the states for last 25 yrs. Anyways, long story short, OXY is purely on point with lyrical skill and yes, his verbal style is very similar to Em on how lyrics are tied and context of the song subjects. You should also check out BASTA and GUF, both have been on Russian Hip-Hip scene for ages. But no one comes close to lyrical talent of Oxy and who ever is his beat producer is 100 on point. Anything from OXY is straight FIRE.
