Great video. It’s nice to hear your opinion and not just a run through of the basic features of the camera. Your thoughts are so much more valuable. Thanks so much.

I have a c220 that I've been playing with this winter. It needs cla'd, but the images blow me away (in studio with strobes).

This camera is a beast like you said! I have the C330 and C330f in addition to a C220f. I love these cameras, I have mounted my lenses so that I can just grab the camera with the lens that I want. I love my Rolleiflexes, but I think the Mamiya C330 is more rugged and meant to be used regularly. I recommend this to anyone wanting a rugged TLR that can focus close! Thanks for sharing.

I agree though I feel like the Rolleiflex is plenty tough. Just not as versatile with various lenses.

Thanks for the talk Kenneth. Enjoyable as usual. I don't have the C330 but I do have the C2 & C3. I received the C2 with a 80mm f/2.8 & 135mm f/4.5 lenses for free. Now that was an excellent value. Although 6x6 is not my favorite format I do love the Mamiya TLR cameras.

And I am such a square shooter. I love the frame. I think of it like a record album and fit it to the subject instantly. Good deal on that C2 for sure!

I would appreciate your opinion of the Mamiya RB67 ProSD My kit includes the RB, two 6x8 Motorized film backs, waist level and metered prism view finders, and the K/L 65mm f/4.0, K/L 90mm f/3.5, and VSF C 150mm f/4.0 lenses. I love it and toting it about is not a problem, makes for great exercise,

The RB is a super camera. I have the same model with the 6x7 motorized winder and five lenses. C 50mm f/4.5, K/L 65mm f/4, K/L 90mm f/3.5, K/L 150mm f/4, K/L 180mm. f/4.5 all in minty condition. Toting it around is no problem but a tripod certainly helps with landscape photography. Took me two days driving to pick it up. The seller still had all the original boxes for the lenses. He also had a complete Hasselblad system and never used the Mamiya setup. Stored it away and never got around to using it. Strange chap, but he was a professional photographer and may have had an idea to use a 6x7 setup that never materialized.

They are good but the film backs are trouble

@@waynesimon2963 A lot of local pro photographers would use the RB67 in the studio and Hazzelblad for weddings.

That's a workout. Good setup!! I have an RB67, maybe one day in the future.

Way cool. Fun stuff. Diggin it. Some viewers might also dig the Mamiya 6 automat. If you go down that rabbit hole make sure you get the latest model with no lens fungus and the film backplate piece. There is also a rare one with a larger view window.

Just pulled the trigger on a 330F with an 80 f2.8. Thanks for the very informative video Kenneth. Hopefully it will allow me to fall back in love with medium format all over again. I do have an RZ67 but its not the sort of camera that you grab and go out on an impulse. Hopefully the C300 will fit that bill. I like the fact that lenses can fit in your jacket pocket and the very close almost macro focusing.

Take it everywhere. That's such a great camera and while not light, simpler and lighter than the RZ. Make great art, Anthony. What you make, no one else can--no one else sees like you do!

I have a C220. What I like about the C330 is that shutter button on the bottom. Bought mine around 2005/06. I have thought about selling it a few times but when I see the photos that come out of this camera (80mm f/2.8) I just can't do it.

Yep, so good. I love these cameras. Used one today for a portrait with a 55mm.

Used the c330f for about 10 years doing portraits. Had some earlier mamiflex and C3. The C3 was probably the heaviest best built beast but the 330 series best for pro use because of features such as easy 220 film registration. Can one even get 220 anymore?
@kennethwajda

I don't think 220 is made anymore. I just used a C330S with a 55mm today for a portrait shoot for The Wise Photo Project. Very good.

Great Photos and good video as usual.. The 6x6 photos are really sharp. I especially like that flying seagull that takes up the whole square. I take it you used the waist level finder, which amazes me. I have had an original C220 since the early 70s. I baby it and it is still in excellent condition and I just love it. I have the 55mm, 80mm, and 135mm. I think the 55mm is my sharpest lens in the kit. The 135 is a very good portrait lens and for getting up close for ceremonies. In my younger days, I used the camera for a lot of weddings of my friends. Didn't have to buy a wedding present just gave them the photos. The gift had more meaning than something bought from a store and my friends were all thrilled not to have to spend a ton of money for a wedding photographer. (Sorry - not trying to put any professional photographers out of business.) Now a days, as a retiree, I mostly use it for close-ups like flowers, etc. BTW, I think the mirror porrofinder is a must. It is light, cheap, and I personally find it easy to focus. Makes shooting much easier.

Love the 55mm. Used it today. So good!
