Great album. I was Kenny's sound engineer on shows for his last 15 years leading his band but never heard 55 Days in Peking played live. Just out of interest Sukiyaki was named by Petula Clark, who was at Marble Arch Studio at the same time, and suggested the title when they all had a meal together in a Chinese Restaurant in London's Edgeware Road....... thanks for the upload Mark....... Syd....

Yank here. I know I heard Marble Arch before, maybe from a Stones song. I don't know, so I read the Wiki article. So Petula, who advised us not to sleep in the subway, retitled Ue o Muite Arukou 'Sukiyaki'. I'll call You'll Never Walk Alone 'Spotted Dick'. None the less and irregardless, Moscow by KB is well done and most appreciated. Cheers. Oh, I know, Marble Arch Station was mentioned in London Homesick Blues written by Jerry Jeff Walker and notably recorded by Gary P. Nunn. Look that up in your Funk and Wagnalls.

This brings back happy memories: I bought the 45rpm single featuring Midnight in Moscow and Sukiyaki - I couldn't afford the LP!

First heard Midnight in Moscow while traveling in Norway in the early 70's. It was in a wall jukebox in a small cafe. Great music transcends borders, cultures and time.

I saw the '3 B's' a few years ago at the Sage in Gateshead after which we lost Kenny ...... saw them all at the Edinburgh Jazz festival many years before. Sadly, they don't make them like this anymore and Io consider myself fortunate to have seen them.
