Kenny is amazing! He’s been doing Mariah covers for a while. He covered this once before. It wasn’t as polished as it is now so I can tell that he’s been practicing. Kudos to him for even attempting this song!

He has admirable control, a great ear and impressive intonation (to hear all those intricate riffs, runs and trasitions, then execute them. I could hear Mariah in her prime sounding similar live, with the exception of some improvised runs and stronger belts. Your observation about his belts is correct. He would mostly mix in his earlier covers (including his first viral cover of this song) and belting appeared to be a challenge for him but it seems he's been working on it because his belts have improved (they are more solid while his whistle register has gotten weaker).

I think he developed his head voice to sound almost like chest voice, so when you said you wanted an outright belt, I don’t really know if it’s possible ‘cause he’s technically not really belting. He “transitions” by beefing up his head voice during the belts and then making it extra light and airy during the head voice parts. His runs are amaaazing tho. Just wish he didn’t support a corrupt politician family / son of a dictator as president. 😭 That’s like if Mariah came out as a Trumpster. Actually worse since Trump technically didn’t succeed in taking over all branches of power and imprisoning and assassinating political enemies, while the Marcoses did and stole so much of the Philippines’ wealth.
