Football were the best memories of my high school years about to graduate from nursing school now in college. I was a more natural baseball player, but the love I had for football was so much more. The game brought me my best friends still to this day. My granddaddy was a high school coach for 30 years here in Georgia he wanted to see me play football so bad he never had a son and I was his only grandson. Unfortunately he passed away before he got the chance I was in elementary school when he passed but I know he was their watching every time I stepped on the field even if I couldn’t see him.

Id give anything to lace up my skates one last time and jump on the ice with my high school hockey team. My final game was the state championship at Xcel Energy Center. For that one game i wasnt playing a high school hockey game. I was in the NHL playing a home game for the Minnesota Wild.

Kenny played for Gibbs HS in Knox County, Tennessee which is shown in this documentary. Kenny was little but had heart. He's no.7 near the end. And Peyton Manning from U of TN is one of the best. He's been known to join Kenny on stage at concerts. Then my hero Bear Bryant coach of Alabama. The night he died my professor in my graduate class just stopped trying to teach and invited any of us who wanted to join him to raise a glass to Bear to come with him. This was at the U of TN. He was respected everywhere.

I'm from a poor family and a small town on some of the best memories some of the best memories I've ever had was in high school playing football and been from a small town most of the people that got to play on our team wasn't necessarily the best it was kids that their dad owned the grocery store or was it comp or their dad's wealthy but I started and I'm from poor family and I was small and stature but I love the game so much it gave me a chance to get all my frustration out by playing nose guard I was 155 lb not that athletic but my heart is so so big that I played big no I didn't even go to college wasn't even thought of as that kind of a football player didn't have that ability but on a small high school team and as big of a heart as I had well I made third string all district see I never listen to anybody tell me that I couldn't do it or I was too small or I didn't have the athletic ability thing is is I had so much fun when I put those pads on I was just big as anybody on the field and that's how I played at 155 lb those card which is the biggest meanest player on the team plays nose guard that's who you normally won't literally I was the smallest meanest person on the team and I didn't listen to what I can't do and those days have gone forever at those memories will always linger on 1975 1976 1977 the coach told me an eighth grade that I was too small to play college football and he was right but those three years I cherish always will it taught me not to listen to everybody about who I was and who I could be that's what I got out of football when someone said that I didn't have the ability to do something it pushed me is what I'm trying to say and it taught me to not listen to everything everybody says but be myself it's a person beats herself they can shy no matter what your situation is we can all do so much better than what we're told regardless of size money or who your family is who's broadening this Earth by yourself and we will go out of this Earth by yourself sorry for rambling on it just touch me
