Never fullfilled his potential in a Scotland jersey. He played for us as if he didnt really want to be here. Then as a manager he wrecked what Shanks, Paisley and others had taken 25 years to build. Sure he won the PL with Blackburn but only because he had an unlimited budget and spending power which no-one else could compete with at the time. Then he was sacked from Newcastle and Celtic. Then in his 2nd spell @ Anfield he spent 100 million, gave his puiblic support to a player who had battered 7 bells out of a DJ in the knowledge he had 6 mates behind him......Wow thats brave !!! And finally he had T-Shirts printed to publically support a racist ! Oh how Liverpool FC miss genuine decent men like Shanks, Paisley, Keegan, Heighway, Ray Kennedy, Ray Clemence and Emlyn Hughes ! Dalglish was overrated as a player, a disaster as a manager and a miserable git of a man !!

Dave Thomas Why is he not regarded by the Tartan Army then as top dog ? Players like Jinky Johnstone, Danny McGrain, Big Joe Jordan, King Denis, Billy Bremner and Jim Baxter are all remembered more fondly. Fergie won the title the season before he handed over to Moyes does that mean Fergie did a great job towards the end of his time ?
