Reg Prescott is one of the funniest of Kenny’s creations - Cabinait Francais has me falling about no matter how many times I watch it 😆

Absolutely hilarious and most importantly ,very likeable. Those modern comedians may be technically good, but very few of them have Kenny’s warmth and charm. Taken far too early from this world.

Haven't seen these since the early 1980s, 40-odd years ago, but as soon as I saw the thumbnail I was like "Oh god, he cuts his fingers off and stuff like that, doesn't he?" - so it obviously left a lasting impression :) We were so spoiled for great comedy back then with this, The Young Ones, Not The Nine O'Clock News, Blackadder, Hitchhiker's Guide, etc., and all around the same time (81-83) when I was in middle-school ... so much classic stuff in that era. I don't think 2024's BBC is capable of making this kind of goodness at all anymore, let alone being so effortlessly prolific with it. Christ, the last time I saw any genuinely great comedy on the BBC was a Harry Enfield thing in (looks it up) 2014. A decade ago. And that was looking back at the BBC's past glories.

I had to stop after Flora's letter to dry my eyes and have a drink of water: one of the very few who can make me laugh out loud. Would have been his 75th birthday on Dec. 25th .

The great and talented Kenny Everett destroyed by prudish BBC harking back to the times of live TV with Barry Bucknall and Percy Trower when episodes were not prerecorded and were not covered up with out takes👍 For those of us who are pre woke and old enough to remember in the best possible taste 😡
