Match of the year, Kenny Omega does it like no other. Absolutely best in the World level performance. Left NJPW 4 years ago and came back like he was hiding out back the whole time. Kenny Omega cannot be replicated or replaced.

Did they not recognize that Omega used Ibushi’s finisher the Kamigoye right before the OWA? I popped for that more than the OWA. Also Oli is insane that he doesn’t think that was a 5* match. It easily is 5 stars. Honestly it was easily a “break the scale” quality match.

I will say I am glad I watch this match live in the moment feeling the scares and the excitement and the near falls. I can say in my opinion this is a match of the year. I want them to have a rematch at Forbidden Door if possible. And see how they can increase the level from this match.

5 stars all the way. I think if Ollie or anyone would have caught that Omega just didn't hit Will with a knee to set up the OWA, he hit Will with the Kamigoye which is Kota Ibushi's finisher to set up the OWA. Maybe noticing that extra bit of storytelling would have put it over the top for Ollie. i don't know. But loved the match and think love this watch along format

This was definitely an early contender for MOTY, Ospreay had an incredible baby face performance after the DDT on the exposed turnbuckle. With the final match of the best of 7 series with Death Triangle coming next week, Omega’s making up for the lost time due to dealing with his injuries.

The fact that this match isn't even in Kenny's top 5 matches of all time, the fact that it barely makes his top 10 is kinda deranged. There are guys who can consistently have 4 star matches then every once in a while drop a 5 star masterpiece. This guy consistently does 5 star matches and every once a while drops a whole galaxy of stars on us Kenny Omega is the GOAT. It's undisputed in my opinion. His back catalogue is nuts

Don't forget, not many fans watch WWE in Japan. The market leader in Japan is New Japan Pro Wrestling. That's why she went to Japan. To make a name for herself there. Eenn a wrestler from New Japan Pro Wrestling in America/ AEW wrestler. Doesn't get much reaction from the American fans.

I feel like Kenny in NJPW has had better singles matches than in AEW. He blends his more serious and goofy personality and moveset in Japan. In AEW its mostly hardcore spots.
