Kenny Wayne Shepherd was an "up and coming" BLUESMAN when I first saw him the Grand Emporium in Kansas City when he was first starting. Now what?

The music business is fucken brutal… Thank God he’s still putting a smile on our faces. Still one of the top players as far as I’m concerned. 👏😎

Hi there, he was not playing Yellow Ledbetter, although it is similar to it. This song is called “while we cry”. Kenny’s version and yellow Ledbetter both come out of a Hendrix tune. Both are great versions and different in various ways, and both keep Jimi’s style and spirit alive ;-)

I like it, at first it sounded like a ripoff but he is sincere and plays from his heart.

@@travisstubbs8854 Right, still after Yellow Ledbetter. But like I said it sounds like him and there's only so much you can write in that style.

hum, kinda like steeling some ones car. then putting a new exhaust on it, and driving it down the street saying " look at this car I built".

It is very close to existing songs, a bit too close maybe. But I think anyone who plays this style of guitar knows that you are naturally led to playing like this...
