This is the same guitar Stevie Ray Vaughan played on the Tonight Show before he passed. It was the first SRV signature prototype before the signature line of guitars actually came out. Jimmy Vaughan gifted this guitar to Kenny, and he has been playing it ever since.

Kenny, we're all standing on the shoulders of giants. You do justice to Stevie. Many complain about the similarities but as a fellow guitarist we all borrow strongly from our heroes. It takes a lot out of a man to play the blues with heart and soul. You've got it in spades. EXCELLENT job.

Thank you all for commenting on my video. At the time age 51, this was my first ever attempt at recording a live concert song from my phone and uploading it to youtube. The sound is pretty good for an iPhone 5SE. KWS has a ton of heart and soul (and Noah and the band is awesome), though this song resonates among all KWS to me. God Bless all of you, stay safe, live life

Holy Toledo ! First time hearing this guitar maestro. He is a true craftsman of sublime melody, who never hits a showy or unnecessary note. I hear echoes of Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and also Robben Ford. I would pay any gate fee to see Kenny Shepherd and Robben Ford play on stage together, just to witness two consummate guitar heroes on the same stage.

Love this, always have but by reading the comments. People don't seem to get his connection to SRV, besides him also having SRV's drummer. He doesn't just play like him by mistake. If I'm not mistaken, Sheppards father was a roadie in the SRV band and KWS would sit off stage as a kid. Watch and Play with SRV as he played shows.
