Dogs usually don't turn around because of bears. There are more sinister things out there. As in Bigfoot & dogman. Millions of encounters are documented. And because of the rogue 3-letter agencies & their breeding programs, innocent people are being harassed, even killed, livestock taken etc. Look into it, it's true. The original purpose was for Vietnam war, they made "super-soldiers"/dogmen. Now they have gotten out of control, released in every state, and many are traumatized by these things. God Help Us All

I think you were wise to listen to Toby. My dog once found scat from a predator on a private trail behind a cabin near Hinckley. I don’t know exactly what it was, as I don’t have that kind of knowledge, but it was almost entirely hair. Wolves are documented in the area, and my dog only weighed 35 lbs, so when she decided to turn around and hightail it to the cabin, I respected that. Years later, we were on a state park trail near Winona, and she did exactly what Toby did at a bend in the trail. Stared up ahead all stiff and alarmed. No wolves down there, I don’t think, but there are sometimes black bears in SE Minnesota. Like you, I decided to trust her keener senses and we turned around. Oh…and I loved Toby’s expression when you threw the bone into the woods. I could just see him thinking, “Now what in the heck did he do that for? People are weird.” Bet he went back for it when you weren’t looking! 😊

Thanks for giving the channel a chance. I know it can be hard to jump into watching new channels sometimes. I'm glad you stopped by. I hope you enjoy the other videos too.

I love the way you trust Toby. I used to have a dog that was highly perceptive and she was never wrong in the 16 years I had her.

Your dog is so well trained. The beginning of the video, he impressed me. Then when he alerted you. My goodness he is a good dog.

I, too, have shaky hands and same tremors. Inherited from my father. Some days I'm steady as a rock, others I'm shaking like a leaf. My dad used to say "Son, you can be anything you want in this world...except a brain surgeon." Anyway, Thank you Kenny and Toby for taking us all on your adventures. Stay safe, kind and honest. Love and Best Wishes from MI.

Smart to follow his lead. Dogs are much more alert than people.

Just essential tremors. No Parkinsons, or at least I hope not. It's sad seeing people go through that. We have a family friend dealing with it right now. He was forced to quit his job, he can't take care of himself, it's so sad.

Toby is a good dog and camping buddy. Dogs not only have a good sense of smell, but great hearing. He didn't like what was ahead of you and he knew there was something there. So happy you turned around. He also wanted to go back to camp because he felt safe there. Smart dog! He is a beautiful dog as well. BTW, please, always wash your vegetables and fruits before you cook or eat them. You don't know who has handled them and where their hands have been or what could be on them. You never know and you can get sick. Just saying....

Animals are light years ahead of us when it comes to smelling scenting things that we have to see.
