Cheers for this, just watching the re runs again now on talking pictures. Still stands up for a show shown over 50 years ago. Sad most of the cast are no longer with us

@@kennysyt Remember from the time Colin Baker admitting he was only supposed to be in a few episodes but Murray Haine who was to be the original baddie only did a few episodes and the rest as they say is history......

Just discovered this series but recall my dad used to love watching it when I was a child. I am hooked! Brilliant series and Richard Easton is a superb actor. Would love to know what became of him and why he wasn't at the reunion. There is no mention of him having a family etc. Thank you for this.

In the 70s no one had a bedroom tv. The idea hadn't been invented yet, even the Queen hadnt one. Bedrooms only had 2 usages anyway. Come the 90s that would change that maxim.

Why no mention of Hilary Tyndall or the actor who replaces Glynn Owen ?

She died in 94 and there was a mention of Pat O'Connell in this retrospective show 20 minutes in, The cast said he was a bit miserable after a drink

@@dlamissO'Connell only missed series 1 & it took a while in our heads to accept it. He actually fitted it better I felt. 50s-70s tv was best with great adverts & gambling ads few if any unlike now disturbingly. This country is being ensnared by gambling 24hrs advertising. Even charities raise money thru gambling. Our children have gambling ads like I had cereal adverts.
