I had the pleasure of seeing Wemby live on Halloween against the Suns (He famously dressed as slender man before the game). He had a huge poster and a nice statline, game is mainly remembered for Keldon Johnson stealing the ball from KD and laying it in to take the lead just before the buzzer. But he truly was just like watching someone who wasn't real, the speed he moved down the court was unbelievable.

Had an argument with someone when I said his blocks per will go DOWN maybe as soon as next season. Because players will learn to just not even try him
@bananalegend1942 ай бұрын
this is likely, but not only because players avoid him, also since wemby will likely make smarter defensive plays and not go for the blocks so much since it doesnt work everytime, you can see that happen in many great defensive players, their defense gets better but their blocks go down
@TheDwightMamba2 ай бұрын
I think Mac is the perfect player for the Spurs to poach from the G-League. Wemby more than makes up for the very little Mac lacks. Think about it, Pop. It's low risk/high reward for what looks like Tony Parker with hops and dives for loose balls. He would be a quintessential Spur.

@@MrKohulann30 because thats how he likes to play he's an improviser he wants the ball in his hands but he's gonna pass a lot when doubled he's never gonna force the issue. He uses so much energy on defense, the dude was getting gassed at like half of the games by the 3rd quarter
@Ebriel00000002 ай бұрын
@@Sqeaky6969 When you see his best moments, it's often in 3rd or 4th quarter so he is not really gassed ; anyway if he plays with a good PG dishing lobs in the paint, he will have 20 easy points by game so 40 aren't impossible if he plays 36-38 minutes
