Juan Browne would be THE source for accurate info as he is a commercial pilot and owns / has owned many light aircraft including a Cub or two . There will be a preliminary NTSB report in a few months then a final report in a year or so. A source that is NOT to be trusted is Dan Gryder as he is out there with the flat earthers and has a history of ill behavior. ( Like trying to run over police with his DC-3 among other incidents . . .)

We are however promised the gift of spiritual eternity which is the greatest gift we could ever receive. Growing up at Tri City Speedway in the 70's and early 80's, I was a Mike Wallace fan early. Then when Bloomquist appeared in the late 80's he became my favorite. I spent the 90's and early 2000's going to Eldora and every Summer National with my Father and Brother. Bloomquist was the driving force that made me want to drive 100's of miles to the next race. Rest In Peace.

I met Scott one time. At an autograph session during a race at Utica Rome Speedway (The track Richie Evans started out at) Sitting next to him? A young 16 year old Tyler Reddick. We didn't have the best exchange that night as Scott sort of brushed off anyone trying to say something while he signed. That still doesn't change the fact that we just lost the greatest dirt racer in human history this morning. I come from Big Block Modified country, where Brett Hearn is held to the same exact standard as Bloomer was. Built his own stuff, built a damn dynasty. But in the end NO ONE can compare to Scott. You mentioned having the same feeling you had when Davey passed. I have the same feeling as when Dale passed. That lost, deer in the headlights, this can't be real, someone tell me my brain is playing tricks on me feeling... I won't lie and say I was a huge Bloomquist fan, but I also won't lie and say that he wasn't the most incredibly talented human being to ever strap into a dirt racing car of ANY kind. This loss is unfathomable. RIP Bloomer.

Legendary driver. Bloomquist’s accomplishments on the dirt track circuits was absolutely amazing. At times, whenever Scott unloaded at the track, he had the field covered from practice hot laps to qualifying to the checkered flag. Second to none. In other races, something would happen and he would be forced to work his way up through the field to the front of the pack. Last to first. Scott was driven to say the least. Even when his car wasn’t the fastest, he would make every pass difficult for those who were faster than his car. Like all of the auto racing legends, he will be missed, as the sport will never really be the same without his presence.
