Kennywood 2014 - Noah's Ark HD

This is Noah's Ark at Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Noah's Ark was built in 1936, the same year as the worst flood in Pittsburgh's history. Noah's Ark was completely rebuilt in 1996 at a cost of over $1,000,000. There is only one other surviving example of a Noah's Ark, located at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in England. The Blackpool Noah's Ark is still standing but closed to the public in 2008 and is no longer operating.

As much as I have a soft spot for this version of the ride, I really like the renovations that were made. Clearly a lot of tlc went into it to make it look like the ride my parents grew up with, minus the neon paint job. I hope the Old Mill gets a renovation like that sometime soon.

I'm very confused. What is this ride supposed to be? I didnt walk in when I went to Kennywood because me and my gf assumed it was a ride praising creationism or something and we wanted thrills, not beliefs. this is very creepy. was it supposed to be this creepy?

+David Michel I think it was supposed to be a creepy exploration theme. It's was a bit weird though having it be different inside the ark. They are renovating it this year though to have an old funhouse feel so it might not be as weird.

I think the 1996-2015 variation of this ride was meant to portray what the Noah's Ark would of been more realistically like.

While I do think the new version is better I think they should've kept the elevator intact and utilised it for Captain Scully's Arc. Heck it could still be a night scare zone if they had the elevator to set up exposition while having the day croud doing the Noah version going through the whale
