My dad was born in 1968 and was at the grand launch of star wars. Can't imagine what he felt at that moment. His entire childhood made a comeback. And at the end of the scene, my dad told me to rush to the car to watch a new hope with him so we can experience like a transition I love my dad Edit: my dad watched the launch of every star wars movie since 1977 Rogue one was his fsvourite because he spent it with me

I love how each scene captures their characters rly well. Like obi wan is defencive as he is always trying to protect and never actively seeking to go on the offensive unless some drastic happens. Vader's scene is just the primal rage, dread and overall power of the dark side personified as the soldiers as well as the audience are reminded what the sith are and represent. While luke's scene is a combo of both. He has his father's offensive tendancies but obi wan's teachings to be on the defencive, both having influenced him even if vader wasnt a part of luke's life. Fav is vader tho. 😂

But as much as I hate to admit it, it didn't amount to anything in the end. In BOBF, he makes the same mistakes of the old Jedi order, forbidding attachments when he of all people should know damn well why attachments are a good thing. It was his attachment to Vader that saved himself and Vader. But it's all pointless. He still ends up training Kylo. He still ends up shitting on everything everyone had worked so hard to build since the Empire. As long as KK's fan fictions exist, this scene will be nothing but flash and nostalgia. And as it turns out, that's all it's ever going to be.

The Obi Wan series, just wasnt necessary, but its a wash for me, some good, some bad, doesnt move the needle either way..

@antedote1 Prequels were goated, tf u on about. Got the best lightsaber fights, Anakin vs Obi-Wan, Darth Maul vs Qui-Gon Jinn & Obi-Wan, Yoda vs Palpatine, Count Dooku vs Yoda etc along with good storytelling. In this missions and lessons we could see the formation of Ben's character and his fall to the dark side, because of his disappointment in his parent's and rebels ideals. Also there we could show the social and political crisis in New Rebublic, which create conditions for the next war with impire's fragments. And of course, we ignore the Disney's sequels.

I don't understand in these Disney shows, why are the Stormtroopers firing like crazy still at one single Jedi instead of just holding off until reinforcements come to shoot from the front and the back? I would understand that in the prequels, the Droids were just droids so it would be easy to cut through butter on them but here they're STORMTROOPERS. Even the Clones messed up all the Jedis during order 66. If all the Clone Troopers were like all these Disneytroopers Order 66 wouldn't have done anything. In Rogue One, it makes sense for the Rebels to shoot at Vader because they're the ones locked in there with him terrified to death. But against Obi-Wan in Kenobi? Can hardly get over how ridiculous these scenes have become...lost all the magic.

Budget-wise, it was Obi-wan's that was lacking, but for the story of him trying to relearn all that and finally seeing him get back into it makes up for it.

You can tell that Ewan is using a heavy sword that emits actual light. He’s much clunkier with this than the lightweight CGId-over swords of the prequels.

That's every Jedi scene in Star Wars dude, they never shot when they have their chance. Too much spinning, too much coreography, not enough realism or danger. The prequels were at least better in showing the speed of the Jedi, wich made everything more belivable.

Obi wan using full light side. Darth Vader using full dark side. Luke using both. Pretty cool to see.

I actually didn’t mind a new actor playing as Luke. Why is Disney so scared of proper change? They just had to super Sci-fi his face to look like the old actor. They are only hurting themselves in the long ru- what’s the point anymore…..

Obi Wan’s really exemplified who he is. Doesn’t straight up massacre the base but if you attack him then very best of luck to you. Galaxy is filled with OP dark side characters who have had various bits chopped off.

Characters with hallway scene: Vader Luke Kenobi Maul Baylan
@Emeraldnite-if7vo11 ай бұрын
SPOILER for "Jedi: FO"----------you'd think they would reinforce the glass in those hallways to prevent that sort of thing from happening AGAIN. I also just realized that Obi Wan holding back the water from coming in is a much more significant feet of power than getting himself out of the rubble during the Vader fight. Like it is a smaller area to focus on, but the pressure of the water must've been immense.

Bro when obi wan was trying to get window to break by using the force why could he have not just have used his lightsaber
@JoePNG.11 ай бұрын
He was trying to keep it from breaking on him, if you watch the scene, you can see the crack first start. He only used it as a weapon when the stormtroopers broke through the door.

It was the Luke scene that convinced me to actually watch most of the new canon shows. I was and still am extremely disappointed with the sequel films but the TV shows have delivered some rewarding experiences. While I might never get to see Luke fighting Shimrra or the Clone Palpatine or C'Baoth, at least we do have one good scene of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker kicking some battle droid ass!

I think Vader’s was best from a cinematic experience. The fear of the rebel soldiers, and the sudden shock and the evil creativity of how he dispatches them. Luke’s had potential but I think fans are more happy to see him than anything else because of what the sequel trilogy did to him. Obi-wans was just not shot well and lacked creativity as well as dominance-hard to cheer for him.
@logankottler32911 ай бұрын
Jedi aren’t dominant. Thinking they should be is missing the whole point. Jedi are supposed to fight with economy-to control their environment, and to protect others. Luke does it. So does Obi-Wan.
@YouTubeUserNineEleven8 ай бұрын
Obi wan doesn't use a offense form? What dominance do you want from him?
@Vulcxqqq10 күн бұрын
He was out of practice and protecting Leia, and is a Form III user. He's not supposed to be dominant either way.
