You know, watching/reading this part again made me realize the huge, pun intended, plot hole in the ending of this fight. It was stated that Auswählen was Ywach taking back the powers he bestowed and absorbing them. However, they also made it clear that Gerard already had these powers before Ywach gave him a Schrift, meaning he merely gave him M for Miracle. But why would Gerard die from Auswählen then? Even if some part was being stripped, he still has his Miracle power to go on. This showcases the state of Kubo while writing the last arc in the Manga. Like he was forced to cut corners and rush things to finish in time. I really hope the anime will make this fight different.
