To the ones who don't know. A kata/ form is meant for muscle memory and a showcase of what you have learned. Normally, this is performed in front of the sifu without two assailants. The two here are just there to show off what you're defending against and how it affects the person for demonstration purposes. As someone who has trained, these forms are hard to master. Muscle memory should Also be practice against some resistance, but great to create some kind of record of tecniques info. Katas end up with a lot of needs for micro ajustments on each tecnique though, specially throws.

The long form three is composed of a large number of personal defenses, these defenses are individually practiced against a sparring partner that offers more resistance. In the form, there are units that serve as a demonstration of continuity, rather than strength
