Hey Kensei, great video! I would also be interested in seeing you do a video about the Tamron 28-200 2.8-5.6 for Sony full frame cameras. I like the idea of a versatile range like that.

I have an old GH3, with lenses I bought for an even older (and long ago sold off) AF-100. My workhorse lenses are the original Lumix MFT mount 12-35 f/2.8 and 35-100 f/2.8. This lens translates into an MFT 14mm-100mm f/2 - f/3.5 lens. As I'm looking to finally upgrade/replace my camera and lenses, this lens is making me seriously consider moving from MFT to L-Mount, as an S5iix + this lens is cheaper than a GH7 + latest gen 12-35 + latest gen 35-100 by $1,000 USD, the picture quality would be roughly the same or slightly better in a more convenient package.

Thanks for the great review. It validates all my thoughts about this versatile lens. I finally got mine delivered in the US on July 23 (after preordering when it was announced in February or March) and will use it on a trip to Portland, OR in a week. (I rented a European model for a trip to Spain in June). I think creating a line of small, light lenses for the smaller full frame Lumix cameras is a great strategy. The 28-200 is a perfect range for travel and pairs with their 14-28 f4-5.6 perfectly. I have a few of the other S series lenses for client work but will love the portability of this zoom. Throw in one or two of the f1.8 Lumix primes (18, 35 or 85) for night street photography and I'm set! I sold all my Lumix M43 cameras and lenses when the S5ii came out and am really happy that this full frame system is still fairly small and lightweight! 😊

I have all the primes and will take the 28-200 + 18mm + 35mm for my europe trip in a week.

@@LucasCreativeTech Perfect travel kit! The 35 prime is essentially the Fuji x100vi camera. And everything else is an expensive lens perspective.

Anything you find you are missing from your MFT gear?
@glennasakawa988017 күн бұрын
@@Democratiser Probably the smaller lenses. The primes were tiny! The size of shot glasses or smaller! That's probably it. The FF image quality makes up for the portability of the M43 system.
@Democratiser17 күн бұрын
@@glennasakawa9880 Interesting. The primes are my favourite feature of MFT too. I hope a small body MFT is released one day to provide an up to date small package for the primes.

Didn't think i wanted this lens because of the 7.1. i will be getting my lens next week so will see but considering the size and that i travel a lot this should be great. Doesn't have to be perfect just good enough.

I have the signs 24 1.4 and le Lumix 1.8 l names 35,50,85 the 105 2.8 macro and the lumix 14-28mm. Theacro and the 14 - 28 are my favorites.

Yeah! I like 14-28mm too!!

What do you think? If you are on the budget, and you already got mc11 adapter. Why don’t you try canon ef-s 10-18mm which equivalent to 15-27mm similar to 14-28 and canon ef-s 18-135mm will equivalent to 27-202mm which similarly to 28-200. And both lens would cost you just about 200-300bucks for both lens. And video auto focus work on both FHD and 4K. I understand that quality might be a bit different. But a huge saving on that.

I disagree about your image quality remarks - I'd say, based on the reviews I've seen, it's considerably better than (older, pre-mirrorless) DSLR superzooms like the F-mount Nikon one WRT IQ. And it has great resolving power (pixel-level sharpness) in hi-res modes too. I've shot a lot of 96 Mpixel images at around 32mm, at f9, and those images turned out to be great.
@mostlyfinnishlifeeventsand51123 ай бұрын
So IMHO it's not "just" superzoom IQ that you can expect from the lens but roughly the same as standard zooms like the 20-60.

Thank you for your insight! Im gonna say it's not sharp, but not crispy at the same time. But definitely it's more than what we usually need, and enough especially for the daily basis use

quick question, on a rig which part would you say is something to buy first currently i only have a cage, the next thing i think i should buy is a monitor but im not sure if it's the right choice since i still dont have a side handle or top yet?

Your order 🫡🤴🏻 from the Russian emperial family: You have to Film Taiyo Furusato, 19 years old from Kigoshima, Japan 🇯🇵. He won Qualifiying 2 at Misano Moto GP in Italy at 21th September 2024. You have to film him with Panasonic.

Not useful information. Are you recommending the same focal length lens for both full frame and micro four-third? Don't you care about how it affects the depth of the field? Misleading bull...!

See the title. this video is for s5ii/s5iiX/s9. I think that’s rude to speak with shallow perspective, and your comment is not useful for some viewers, bro.
