Lagoon bases are one of those things a lot of people want, but many find difficult to do. Hopefully I stoked some creativity in everyone to make some stellar Platforms

I would recommend the crab raiders, even if they are a tad buggy. The crab tournament is really fun.

Did my first playthrough where I actually went to the crab raiders. Just after allying skin bandits. So it was me and a hoard of robots mowing the raiders down. I did the crab games.. accidently before. Didnt make anything of it though. I see now it's how to ally them

Much appreciated! I am particularly proud of the end montages in these build videos starting from my Shek Fortess on. My first one was a bit lackluster admittedly as I was still trying to figure out how I wanted to do these videos. From here forward, I'll be dropping these build videos every other Friday. Already have 2 more edited and scheduled to release.

Does this city work in game? like do the npcs act move in and take control over it?

Works 95%. Only occasional issue I had was when reloading my game some - not all - of my PCs would be in the water under the higher platform but that wasn't even all of the time only maybe 1 in 4 reloads. But that's just Kenshi's outdated engine and really didn't effect gameplay at all. Other than that it worked totally fine

I hired 3 or 4 bands of mercs to defend it and they were just walking around sandboxing with no issue. Felt like a real lively city.

had no idea it worked like that, most of the time you build a city the "right" way sp its player controlled. but i guess a faction does not take it over? @@HeroInHisHead

@adambroman depends. If you dont place a small shack to initiate your "outpost marker" or manually place it later, then it will default to the nearest owned locations faction. In which case NPCs will take over. If you however set up that output marker, it is just the same as if you built and outpost with the build menu. If you want to know more in depth how it works I'd check out my other build videos or my build tip shorts as I get into a lot more of the nuances behind using the Shift F12 to build

made a similar base. took a long time. can i use it? of course not, this is kenshi. player character keeps falling on the sea when i take a save on top of the lagoon platform. i really love and hate this game so much.
