Kenshi Speedrun - Defeat Bugmaster (Limited) -

I don't really mind if this run isn't valid, as I plan to improve it very soon.
Idk how to do load removed times, so for now this video will list its RTA time. I was optimizing for RTA anyway in choosing to stare at my party for two minutes. Until they died. Some of them.
Kenshi speedrun rules allow for "defeat" via kill or imprisonment. If you're familiar with Kenshi, you probably know which option I went for.
This was an impromptu speedrun. There were three hours between "Huh, I could probably beat that run..." and beating that run. Before today, I had never attempted a run of this game.
This is not a display of expert gameplay. This was a test run. I was mostly concerned with seeing if my route idea would work. I was not planning on finishing a speedrun nor getting any records. As such, there are many glaring issues in this run, including multiple reloads.
As you can clearly see in this video, I still retain many habits from casual gameplay that are extremely detrimental to a speedrun, such as PAUSING TO PUT BUGMASTER IN THE CAGE WTF ARE YOU DOING LMAO
This was an attempt at a hardcore run (no save reloads, no R-trick) but obviously that didn't work out. Despite not qualifying for hardcore, this run does not use the R-trick. Had I gotten this exact time without reloads, it would be the fastest hardcore bugmaster defeat on the leaderboards.
This time can be brought below 10 minutes very easily, and I hope to do that in a hardcore-legal run.
Some notes:
- For the love of fucking god when you record with OBS don't use your stream settings
- I don't know if your character moves any faster or slower if the area they're in isn't technically loaded. No idea how any of this works yet!
- I probably need to figure out a path to bugmaster instead of clicking on the map and hoping the game gets me there
- I think I went overboard on training stealth. It might be more worth it to train athletics once you hit ~30 stealth. Will need some testing.
- I need to set and use more hotkeys
- I really need to make better usage of 2x speed
- I really need to make less usage of 1x speed
- Fuck this bugmaster guy for real
