I tried a slaves start recently and I had something to go to so i just went AFK for 8 hours, turns out rebirth gets attacked by skeletons and all the guards died, so I just walked out of slavery, this game is just too easy for the patient.

Each to their own. But it's actually better for him to dismiss the hiver. If someone gets stuck in Terrain in Kenshi, loading a save has the option of resetting the player faction's squaddies where your camera is roughly positioned and facing on the ground, so if he doesn't want to deal with the hassle of that whenever a character gets stuck; you get the idea.
