Tatanga and Daisy are well written also, I like how he suspects that Daisy is trying to manipulate him half the time, but because it delights her, he allows it.

Every three years or so I've tried to google search and find this mysterious Game Boy comic that was on the book shelf in my 5th grade teacher's class. Finally I found it! I knew I wasn't imagining it. I didn't remember anything else about it, except that a store clerk stole a Game Boy because he felt he was being ill-treated at work.

Herman is super interesting. He's not the totally bad bad guy, but he's a villain for sure. He does TRY to get help by giving the game boy away to kids in the second story, where he goes to space. But he's still quite bitter. I like how he still calls the kid a brat on the space shuttle, but when she cries, he gives her his jacket. Like....he doesn't WANT to really help Tatanga.....but he....finds purpose from him? I guess? And he 'escapes' at the end, presumably to continue being tatangas servant another time. But yeah, him coming out of nowhere to whack mario with a tray in the twin towers is awesome, and I though so as a kid.

This was pretty good! I also like Tatanga's redesign. Please do more of these game boy Super Mario Land comics! There's a lot of interesting stories! ^_^

These books.....you can tell they're written to be acceptable for kids, but they aren't some stupid quick kids book. They give a lot of things that your average kid might not pick up on. They're kinda written to be enjoyed by adults also. Today? You'd get something closer to the Japanese mario anime, because that's keeping closer with the 'original Japanese character depiction'. And it's vastly more acceptable then this. This comic is great.

I got the Gameboy comicbook Super Mario Land comicbook in 1990. I wished they made more. Only 4. In fact their we're suppost to be a planned made of 6 made issues of Gameboy comicbooks.
