It looks like a hairbrush. If it is made with any sort of boar bristle/boar bristle mix and/or the bristles have any stiffness, it is definitely a hairbrush. A clothes/hat brush would be much softer, and made with horse hair, like a shoe shine brush, but the hair would be bleached pale (so that if any hairs shed, they would not show on a lighter-colored suit - apparently, lighter hairs on a darker suit do not show as prominently). However, a "proper" clothes/hat brush set would include both pale and dark horse hair brushes.

I’ve been wet shaving for about four months now, van der hagen razor and shave kit. I know it’s a cheaper set up but I love the ritual of soaking the brush, building the lather and making a few passes. It’s a great way to relax and enjoy yourself. My kids got me a vintage old spice mug and a vintage brush handle that I’m going to be getting a badger hair knot for soon. Thanks for all the help mr. ken, I love my new hobby. 🤘😎🇺🇸

In the Ian Fleming 1957 novel "From Russia with Love", Rosa Klebb actually gets Bond in the end. How he is alive again in the next novel, "Dr No", is never explained. A 35mm film print was quite expensive, just think what you had to pay to delevop a reel with 24 pictures and that is just one second of film in the cinemas. We used to get US copies here in Europe when the film was done showing in USA. Guess it was the opposite for the UK films that you got. Back in 2002 we were showing "Die Another Day" and a brand new cinema that was still dusty from the construction pulled our pristine copy and we got their dusty scratched up copy.

I have exactly the same razor, and after long research, it turns out to be made in 1946. BTW, I can't use it with a mild blade, or it won't cut my beard at all. It works with the Voskhod, but only once. I can't use the Voskhod 2 times with any razor. I destroy that blade after the first use. I've been trying the Astra blue and the Gillette Nacet, and they both perform flawlessly with any razor. At least on my type of beard.

From research, it seems that Tech is postwar, but pre-51. Date codes started then. The drainage holes would be triangular if it were earlier.

Such a beautiful set you've in here. That's a really nice find, congrats. To me the best 007 from all times was Roger Moore. By the way, I've also the Gillette Tech made in England with the Nacet logo on the top cap. Guess it's from end of 30's, begin 40's and it's a very agressive razor but I love to shave with and it's impossible don't have a great shave any time I'm using it. Great video as always.

Hey Ken, you clean up pretty good. Great gadget you have there. Love the Gillette Tech. I recently purchased a cased Gillette Gold Fat Handle Tech razor. Gillette didn't use date codes from 1931 to 1951. The one I have has the oval lather slots which dates it after 1947 (prior to '47 the slots were triangular). The razor you and I have, I believe are circa 1947/48 - 1950. Dating Gillettes between '31-'51 is difficult. Have a great and safe week.
