KensWorld Restorations - Vintage Motorcycles from the 70's, 80's & 90's

Welcome to my channel. I recently finished restoring a 1984 Yamaha Virago XV1000. The restoration was a lot of fun and the bike looks and runs like new. The next project in my sights is my newly acquired '87 FZR1000 Genesis.
I hope to present these videos as a source of inspiration to anyone working on their bike. They're not really intended to be "how-to" videos but if they help with your project in any way, that's a good thing.
Since this is just a part-time endeavor, I'll make a new video about every 2-3 weeks. Follow along and please subscribe for regular updates!

Awesome!! I wish I was getting her back together quicker since the weather is nice now and I see everyone else out on their bikes. I went to the bike shop to get fork oil the other day and almost walked out with a new Ducati. It was a close call. Hope you enjoy the videos!!

I´ll keep an eye on this, got a 1000 virago 84, in, let´s say she´s not a looker, but since i got my licence 2,5 week ago we´ve pulled 1000+ miles together, without any issues execept missfire on heavy accelleration once in a while =)

Very cool!! I hope you're enjoying her as much as I did (back in 1984!) when I first got my license. At this age, the spark plug wires, caps and coils are going to be pretty tired if they haven't already been replaced. If the spark is weak then you'll sometimes get misfires (as opposed to backfiring when you roll the throttle off - that's something entirely different). I've got lots of maintenance videos up that you can have a look at as well. Enjoy!!

@@KensWorldRestorations I am indeed =) just waiting for good weather again now :D not sure what have been done and not over the years, but i´ll give iriduim-plugs a go as soon as they arrive, gonna change oil/filter and the oil in the final drive at the same time =)
